Let me just tell you that this place is a gem. I hesitate to even put a review up because I don’t want a flood of people at my new spot! 🤣 I have never experienced a restaurant where they treat you like family even before you show up! I have been searching for the best BBQ crab in the area and I have tried several in the Beaumont Port Arthur area and none have risen to the same level I have found in Louisiana. I heard of this restaurant and I decided to call in an order to go. I was met by the most pleasant voice when I called in the order and she was so nice and just a joy to speak with. Then I arrived at the restaurant which is quaint and just real comfortable feeling and Ms. Linda was the first to greet me and ask if I was here for my crab order. Wait what how did you know? I sat down at the bar because she stated that she wanted me to have them fresh so she delayed having them cook them and it would be just a few minutes more. When they came out they looked so appetizing that I decided to stay and eat them while they were hot. These are the most seasoned, lump and hearty BBQ crab I have ever eaten. Those gentleman cooking are experienced at what they do. Every bite was delicious. I was overwhelmed by how good it was. I can’t wait to try more items! Ms. Linda made sure I was comfortable and the whole staff were friendly and laughing. You can tell they enjoy what they do! I just really like the whole vibe! This will be a staple!

A wonderful spot for dinner the gumbo was excellent the fish pontchartrain was wonderful the sauce was unbelievable I would definitely recommend this place

This café is a gem and not once have I been disappointed over the past two years. Gumbo is amazing, Voodoo eggrolls are something to talk about, too! The fish and shrimp diner is too much for one person to eat, which makes for a wonderful 'snack' later!!
I ordered the Cajun seafood pasta which clearly states it has jumbo shrimp, crawfish and sausage in a creamy sauce. There was NO CRAWFISH AND NO JUMBO SHRIMP IN SIGHT. I asked why it didn't have the crawfish and they proceeded to tell me it's in the sauce. They blend the crawfish into the sauce which is a lie. On the menu right under the seafood Cajun pasta is another pasta option which does state it's tossed in a crawfish sauce. They refused to correct my plate then proceeded to stand 10 feet away from me talking crap about me even asking them to correct it. To be clear the one talking crap was a man in the red shirt and I asked who it was and the waitress told me one of the cooks. I will never return not only because they wouldn't fix my plate but because of the man talking crap about me asking why I wasn't getting crawfish in my dish. We paid $60 for 2 people and that was the service we got.

Try this restaurant for the first time recently. Was not impressed. Not with my meal or the meal that my daughter got. Neither one of us finished our food, and it wasn't because we weren't hungry. We should have ordered crawfish, that did smell really good but did not get to taste it. Not sure that I'll go back.

We drove 17 hours hoping to get some good jumbo. Well I guess I thought it would be different. All it was is beef broth, sausage, chicken and a side of rice. No veggies no spice. Just bland soup. No okra, celery. I guess actual Cajun food isn't what I expected.
