If we could give sushi chefs, Ray and Edward, 10 stars we would! Always such a great experience sitting at the sushi bar! Consistently the dishes are prepared to perfection and my daughter and I will continue to make this our place for oyster shots and sushi!

First time here and it was already a new favorite! The sushi was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Our server was fabulous and I enjoyed the atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Compared to the A-Tan in Seguin, Seguin is better. Why?
1. Veteran discount
2. Sea Urchin is fresher (not fishy like NB)
3. Cuts are thicker (not thin like NB)
4. They have scallops (not out like NB)
5. Better quality
6. Salad is not buried in dressing
7. Presentation of nigiri much better
8. Friendlier service

I recommend the Seguin location. From someone who lived in Japan for 2 1/2 years.

I have been here multiple times and they never disappoint , I usually like their chicken and fried rice. For the server however if I had to recommend one I usually encounter Monica is her name and she’s been the best server there and in general.

mcqueeny, snow white, tsunami, spicy crunchy tuna and oyishi rolls. atan is always good and friendly have not had a bad roll or service since i found out about them a few years ago. always delicious sushi

I've been to the A Tan in Seguin and didn't know this o e was here until I started going to the chiropractor in the same strip mall.

When I came in I was greeted by two lovely ladies that made me truly feel welcome.

The wait staff was very attuned to everything that you needed. I didn't have to ask for anything they were on top of it all.

The menu/food was a little different than the one in Seguin but still amazing. I truly enjoyed the spring rolls with chicken and then you add the dipping sauce. Truly next level. The chicken fried rice was just as good.

When I got ready to leave it was like I had been there several times and they knew who I was. Everyone said goodbye.

It was a very enjoyable experience.

Theft! DON’T USE A CARD HERE! Accidentally left my debit card here. Went back the next day and very politely asked for if they had seen it as I know it was the last place I’d used it (bank statements confirm this!) and they said if I was going to accuse them of keeping it then I should just file a police report. A week later, I see on my bank statement that the server gave herself a tip nearly twice what I’d left her. Had to file with the bank to get back the money she stole. By the way, food was average at best.

We order out or go here every chance we get. Best Asian food in New Braunfels that I’ve tried. Ramen is amazing. Everything I’ve tried is great.

The food is good. But the store manager, the lady with glasses is rude. We had a question to cocktail , which was surprising to be hot cocktail. It was not marked on menu like that. Store manager refuse to come to table to explain it. She just indicated the waitress if you do not like it, you can return it. The service is bad with this store manager.

Not aware that they have last call for order at 745 PM so they wont take orders after that... I guess I missed that in the FINE PRINT?

2025 Revisit: This place has become our GO TO Sushi Restaurant in New Braunfels! could even say... our go to Sushi place in TX Hill Country!
