Pizza was amazing, I mean.. great flavor, thin crust, just really really good. Atmosphere was chill and the music was fitting. Finally, beer was tap and on point with temp.
Got a casual date or just want a chill night. This is the spot. God bless

This used to be underground pizza off of the square in New Braunfels. I always liked them , I saw this place and it seemed likely they were the same people ,and sure enough they were . Their pizza is quite good owing alot to them having a real oven and not one of those belt ovens. I had a traditional pie but my wife got the lemon squeezy pizza, this was pretty unconventional topped with what looked like arugula with lemon juice and proccuto . It would have never thought to top a pizza that way but it was really good and the flavors complimented each other .

This place was really good when it was downtown. It isn’t anymore. Also if you order delivery through the store website, you are not redirected to any 3rd party site. I assumed I was ordering delivery through the store. That was a nightmare in itself as the 3rd party was some weird middleman service between the store and Doordash. I could have just ordered Doordash myself if I had known that. When my pizza was sitting on the counter getting cold at the store and my estimated time of delivery kept going up, I called the store with my concerns and they were uncaring and stated they “have never offered delivery”, and that I needed to take the issue up with the 3rd party called “Slice”. So I called Slice with the same concern, and received the same uncaring BS, but with a 25% discount. I didn’t want a discount, or the cold pizza by this point. I wanted to cancel since I wouldn’t be receiving fresh, hot pizza. But nonetheless, I wasn’t allowed to cancel, and I was forced to receive cold yet somehow also overcooked pizza 1.5 hours after ordering. 😅 Btw before the 25% discount (and Doordasher’s tip being removed when it wasn’t Doordash’s fault at all), my bill was $66 for 2 pizzas, a mac n cheese, delivery fee, tax, and tip. 👌. Yes I gave the Dasher her tip back. Still hoping to find good pizza in town.

My husband and I ordered online so we could pick up pizza before our movie last night. Even though the pizza wasn’t ready when we got there they accommodated us and started our order right away. This is a small pizza joint and the flavoring was amazing. I was full half way in on my 7” pizza but couldn’t stop eating because of the spices. I would suggest going when you are not in a hurry and fully enjoy the laid back atmosphere.

First time to try Above Ground Pizza, and I won't go back. The garlic ring was burned black and the pizza was tough and crunchy. I gave them 2 stars because the other 2 pizzas ordered were okay but definitely not tasty enough at $22 a pie to try Above Ground again.
