But if you’ll just listen to me and our server “Herr Nōrmann” (Norm), you’ll leave here very full and very satisfied. The food is as authentic as I remember from living in Germany. The service? Perfect. The ambience is a cross between a castle and a hunting lodge. The drink choices are plentiful and will not bore you. Desserts. Yeah….Black Forest cake and apple strudel pair very well with the Weihenstephaner beer, believe it or not. Worth the drive. Worth the money. Worth the time it took to read this long a$$ review. Great little German restaurant in New Braunfels area... About 30-40min from San Antonio. Limited selection of German items, but what they have looks good, and taste pretty authentic. Good selection of German European beers, which was nice. Wife was impressed as well... So we will be back.Dietary restrictions: Overheard the waiter tell the table next to us that most items are gluten free if that matters to you.

Nothing beat the atmosphere of the acordian player who sung German music from room to room. The food was delicate, flavorful and filling. Enjoy the cold beer and bring the ones you love for a great time.
My first time here. The menu had really nice choices. I had the sausage and potato salad. It was very tasty and delicious. My first time tasting sauerkraut, to my surprise it was not overwhelming sour. It paired very well with the sausage. My wife had the Jager schnitzel (breaded pork with mushroom gravy) it was also very tasty and delicious. If you find yourself in New Braunfels I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner.
