Gave me the completely wrong food on a tp go order.
This is a nice diner style restaurant serving homemade food in the heart of New Braunfels. I had the Hand Breaded Fried Shrimp plate and they are large and so delicious. Prices are very reasonable and everything is made fresh. Definitely would like to come back and try their other items including their homemade cinnamon rolls.

Good food, great service. Sweet tea tasted a bit off, but other than that, all-around good restaurant for brunch

Avery’s was absolutely delicious! My husband and I came for breakfast and the food, service, atmosphere was absolutely outstanding! We love family owned, country cooking restaurants! Megan was absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcomed. She recommended different foods to try! The music wasn’t too loud and absolutely brought us back to our earlier years! Fabulous place to eat!

Passing through and stopped for breakfast, great food, down home comfort food, that never goes out of style or flavor. Our server “Kenz” was fantastic, so nice and attentive, practically like family, got that vibe the whole time we were there. busy morning and everyone on the staff seemed friendly, family atmosphere with apparently a lot of return customers. Worth a stop, just wish I lived closer.

Avery’s Kitchen is truly a hidden gem tucked away in Freiheit Village in New Braunfels. The atmosphere is fairly spacious, colorful, and inviting, offering a warm and welcoming environment for homestyle cooking at its best.
Our party of 14 dined here for breakfast, and despite the size of our group, every employee was accommodating and attentive. A special thank-you to our waitress, Trinity A., who provided exceptional service. She managed our large party with patience, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, ensuring everyone was well taken care of.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Each plate reflected the comforting, home-cooked quality that Avery’s Kitchen is known for. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal and agreed that we will definitely be returning soon.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a welcoming local atmosphere.

Get the burger!
We had lunch at Avery’s and it was quite nice. Service was excellent and fast. The food was very good and came out hot and tasty. I had a cup of the homemade chicken noodle soup and it was good. My entree was fried butterfly shrimp with fries and hush puppies. It was all yummy but my favorite was actually the hush puppies. There was no chunks of green pepper in them the way so many places fix them and they were delicious. The fries were nice and crispy. I got 8 huge pieces of shrimp and I couldn’t quite finish everything. Very reasonable prices, too.
