Black Bear Diner New Braunfels

First they sent me a dirty table, then they moved me to a table that’s dirty and has a broken seat. Then I clean a table so I can sit at one without a broken seat.
Ordered my food. It came eventually. As I was finishing my meal, I heard a waitress telling other people that they’re credit card machine is down. The waitress comes with my bill and I told her that I heard the waitress telling other people. Nobody told me. Extremely rude.
If they had told me, I would not order anything I do not carry cash on a regular basis. So now I’m sitting here and they tell me to use an ATM. I don’t have a debit card with me. That is all in my truck. I am over the road ATT wheeler driver.
This has been a horrible experience and I have money to pay my bill but now I’m trapped here because their machine is broken and nobody bothered to tell me.
I will be back to Black bear diner.
The place is filthy, the people are rude, the people do not give you pertinent information.
Now I’m just pissed

Stopped here tonite hve a delivery walmart dc 5am on way home after that in San Antonio so decided to stay the nite here went into black bear diner had the ribs and shrimp combo was delicious ribs tender bbq sauce tangy very impressed by the plate. Also the 2 girls working tonite hard workers. Ill be back

My family dined at the New Braunfels new Black Bear. We were going for fish and chips but saw Prime Rib. It appeared to be the same price as fish and chips $14.95. but when we paid we were charged $25.00. In small print it says for price ask waitress but both my sister and I did not notice this. You would not expect to pay $25. for a dinner at Black Bear. When I asked the hostess about this difference she said many people make this mistake. I asked why don't fix it and she said it comes from corporate and they won't change it. We will not go there again.

Nice little diner very cozy and delicious food definitely recommend if haven’t been go check it out and our server Jessica was amazing super friendly and helpful it’s nice to go out for dinner and be treated this well and the portions were great size All left full with just enough leftovers for a nice snack later ?

Kid-friendliness: The kids enjoyed the food alot and they had a good amount of options for the kids to choose from which is nice

We have had great sandwiches there until today. I've never had a worse hot turkey sandwich - ever. A hot turkey sandwich usually has a slab of turkey on bread with gravy. This one was shreds of left over turkey that was only fit for soup. The gravy was so salty, I couldn't finish the sandwich.. I will come back, perhaps, for breakfast or a cold sandwich but I never a hot turkey. Beware! The cashier asked how our meal was, both my husband and I responded "very salty". There was no response.
