Let me just start with the fact that this WAS one of my favorite places to stop and eat. Anytime I am in the mood for down home diner type cooking, this was my go-to. However, that being said, I will never eat here again. Not because the food is bad, but because of the service from the manager. Let me explain, after eating breakfast today, I was enjoying a cup of coffee. As I finish up eating I grab my stuff fixing to leave and gulp down my coffee to the bottom of the cup to find a possible maggot stuck in the bottom of my coffee cup. When the manager was confronted he took the cup and went into the back. Returning shortly and said he squished it between his fingers and it was just food stuck in the bottom of my cup. No apology. No offer to reimburse the cost of the meal. Nothing. He walked over and started ringing people up again, dismissing me like it was nothing. I will never eat here again, despite enjoying the food. Do better BlackBear.

Worse service ever, I walked in at 6am and thought I was in a night club the music was so loud, I had to look for some one to take my order and then it took 20 minutes just to get 2 biscuits and gravy and they were just thrown on a plate, and served. If I could give zero star I would, this was not worth $15

Food was good , waitress was nice. The ham ppl the ham omgosh thick and great taste. The hash browns was wider then all the other places ya go. Taste like the sausage was homemade, they have hot and mild. It's inside the TA .

Food was cold and flavorless waitresses come off a little arrogant and ignorant.

Ate here a few days ago and was very pleased we did. The food was really good and very generous portions. My wife and I both had a breakfast item, which is served all day, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Want to go back and try some of their other menu offering. If you like good comfort food at a good price this is a great place to eat.

Despite, being peak hours and kinda busy, we were greeted and seated quickly. Ordered and food showed up faster than expected. HUGE portions. I'm on breakfast leftovers day two and still have tomorrow's breakfast waiting for me. Come hungry!

Always enjoyed black bear when I was in Houston. Took some friends from out of town to have breakfast here. We were ignored for close to 15 minutes before the “host” came up to us. We were then told that it would be a 45-60 minute wait. The restaurant wasn’t even half full and there were a minimum of 8 employees working the dining area. Won’t be going back.
