***FOOD DYE ALERT***Used to have a good vibe at previous location and it’s been years and they are still operating out of orange leaf. The vibe is different and they used to use organic teas and make their own syrups and I’m not sure if they do that anymore; even if they do it’s not properly marketed. Apparently the owners own the orange leaf as well so this is why they’re operating out of orange leaf. The coconut boba does not taste the same as it used to… very chemically aftertaste, and I double checked the ingredients on their flavorings and syrups and they are loaded with FD&C RED 40 And other toxic dyes, strawberry, taro and Thai are the ones I checked. Very disappointing as at one point I would consider this a healthier place to get drinks now it’s just as saturated with toxicity as the next drink place.

Tried this place for the first time, will not be returning as it was absolutely disgusting. We ordered strawberry boba green tea as well as black thai tea w/boba, had literally 2 sips and we threw both our drinks away as soon as we arrived at home. Thai tea had zero flavor and floating powder in the drink, strawberry tea was 100% syrup and tasted like dirty water with what appeared to be a reused cup/lid, boba was trash in both. Literal waste of money and time, staff was unfamiliar with drinks as well. Overall horrible boba experience, grossed out. Give it a ZERO out of 10, other boba lounges I have visited in New B are 1000 times better. Would NOT recommend!

They used to be so good until the orange leaf took over for a bit. Everytime I go my drink is so nasty so this will be the last time, I’m pregnant and have just been let down one to many times. Best bet go down to Boba tea lounge!!

Ordered vanilla and Thai milk tea with tapioca.I've had boba at so many places and this is definitely at the bottom of the list. I think the worst part is the fact that we waited 25 minutes for a disappointing drink.Yes..25 minutes, yes I set a timer. Ridiculous. I was ready to walk out when they called my order. I thought I was relieved but honestly I might have been better off without it. 100% sweetness and it tasted like water. They use powder to flavor the milk (I could feel the granules in between my teeth) and add a shitton of ice.It tasted like milk, water, and a black tea bag.Annoying, won't be back and neither should you.

I want to start by saying that the staff are very nice. I have no issues with them, and they did as I asked and they knew what they were doing. However, if you are looking for good boba tea I would suggest going down the road some and stopping at Boba Tea Lounge instead. It’s worth mentioning that Java Haus doesn’t have a wide variety of flavors compared to other places, and while this isn’t a huge deal it’s worth letting people know. I also could not adjust the sugar level in the drink, which I would normally do.Today I had the chai tea, and it’s the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve been to most boba places across the New Braunfels and San Antonio area (I’m a bit obsessed with boba), and I won’t be coming here again. Maybe the other flavors are better, but I wouldn’t take the chance. I couldn’t even finish my drink, I threw it away. The chai flavor itself was completely wrong. Does not taste like chai, I don’t know what it would resemble but it was super fake tasting. Sort of tasted like pure syrup, and it also leaves a horrible aftertaste in your mouth. The syrup doesn’t even taste remotely good (it’s a brown sugar syrup, and isn’t even sweet either) and settles to the bottom in little flakes after a few moments despite mixing. The boba is not the right texture, it’s sort of hard. This could be one bad batch of course, but I’m not sure that’s the case. It also has no additional flavor added that I could tell (most places add honey or brown sugar to their boba) so it was extreamly bland.I just have to be honest it’s a 1/10 for the drink, I don’t recommend it. I don’t like leaving these reviews, but I left regretting my purchase so I hope to help someone else. I guess you get what you pay for. It’s a good price at $5 compared to the $7-8 I spent elsewhere.

They have moved next-door in “Orange Leaf” but the ambience is very cute with little tables and chairs. They have ice cream and bubble “Boba” drinks.

Hands down, best boba tea in town. My wife and I have ordered from a couple other spots and none hit like this place. Even though they had to merge with Orange Leaf, the vibe is still great and the teas are even better!

the worst boba i’ve ever had.i ordered a lavender green tea what i was given was a milky purple colored drink that tasted like plastic and had a very chalky consistency,my friend ordered a strawberry black tea it was like those dollar store valentine’s day lollipops we ended up throwing our drinks out as soon as we left(yes we can get in contact this event was about 2 weeks ago and i just haven’t had the time to write a review until now)

Went here yesterday and got the absolute worst customer service! Apparently you cannot bring outside food or drink in with you. Got a bite to eat somewhere else, decided a Boba would go great with it. Ordered my Boba sat down to enjoy both inside because it was freezing outside and was told to leave. Was told it was a coffee shop and they didn't want the place smelling like food. As a paying customer that stops in very frequently I was highly disappointed! Shame on you for treating your customers that keep you in business so awful.

Stopped in for a quick drink for the kids and holly mollie can you take any longer. If you can't put them out fast enough your not making. Come on 30 minutes if not longer waiting. If you don't have an hour to wait don't come. Yes I'm still waiting. We could of order dinner somewhere and been eatting already !

The drinks are good, not that authentic, but the adjustable sweetness is a nice feature. If you boba I have to tell you the tapioca pearls here are not that great. Very inconsistent in size and texture. Some are tiny, some are big, some are soft and some are very chewy. You won't get boba in every sip because they all stick together in one lump at the bottom of your cup (picture attached) and it's impossible to get with a straw. I come here in occasion to study or read and it's a great cozy environment for that, but overall when I'm craving really good boba I go down the street to the one next to HEB.

First time trying out a Boba tea. The girl taking my order was very kind and explained what a Boba Tea was and helped me make a decision. It was the best thing I've had in a while, and the atmosphere was marvelous. I'm from out of town but I'll definitely come back just to come here!

Been here twice and HAD good experiences. HOWEVER! My last visit was so disappointing. The blonde girl, (I didn’t get her name) was so RUDE! She rolled her eyes when I questioned something on the menu and it made me so uncomfortable. I ended up getting the same thing which is sad because I really wanted to try something different. I will not go back. I also read about another lady having a bad experience with the same blonde girl and that the girl called the lady a Karen. And then the blonde girl called the owner to speak to the woman and was also rude. So if the owner can talk down to other people then this establishment won’t last long. Very very unprofessional. Even if the lady was being rude( which I don’t know) you don’t go calling people names. I work in customer service so I have had plenty of rude people talk down to me but I have kept my composure and actually know how to respond nicely.
