Tonight, my husband, daughter, and I ate at Casa Garcias in New Braunfels. It was the least enjoyable dining experience I have ever had at this restaurant. We have been dining at this location for seven, yes 7, years. Before that, we dined at the Kyle location for more than three years. Tonight, it was around 7:30, and it took the staff quite a while to even acknowledge our presence and seat us. We asked for a booth, and we're taken to a table that was cleared of dishes, but the table top was not clean. We waited for another while before someone came to clean the table. Because we had already been seated, the lady trying to clean the table could not reach the whole table area. It was NOT really clean for the duration of our dining. The hostess seated us next to a table where the guests were so loud that I could not hear my husband or daughter when they tried to talk to me. On top of that, the background music was extremely loud. We completely gave up trying to talk to each other. We had anticipated a pleasant evening with quality, family time. That was not what we experienced. The order was taken in a timely manner, and the food came pretty quickly from the kitchen. Unfortunately, by then, our drinks were empty, and so was our salsa bowl and our chip basket. Our waitress was nowhere in sight because someone else brought the food. There were no tortillas or butter brought out despite being told that would be brought with the food. I finally got up in search of someone to help us. I spoke with a young man who asked me where we were sitting, and he said he would have more chips and the tortillas brought to our table. I told him that up to that point, this was the worst experience we had ever had at that restaurant. He didn't understand that I was not upset with our waitress. It was everything from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. Our waitress must have been admonished by someone because she came to apologize. She said that she was waiting on tables inside and outside on the patio. I have no idea why we were seated at the table that we were, especially if the assigned waitress wasn't even in the room. When we were leaving, the same young man came up to make sure we had gotten our check. We had, and we left cash on the table. By that point, we just wanted to leave. I told him that the money was on the table. I also told him that we had been dining there for over 7 years. That didn't seem to matter much to him, and he never seemed to understand that the whole dinner experience was a fiasco, not just the inability of the waitress to serve our table. I tried to explain that to him, but he was unfazed. I told him that this was probably our last visit to Casa Garcias of New Braunfels. He didn't seem to mind that at all. I'm very disappointed because this was not a waitress-only problem. It was a whole-system failure. Casa Garcia, I know that you can do better. Sadly, I won't be coming back to find out if you do.

Reusing old Tortillas which only get harder and harder. The same with chicken and you have the audacity to charge what you charge.. No offense but you can't fool us. And you keep that place like an Ice Bucket and try to play it off like "because the floors might get slippery", really, clean your ac ducks. We asked for fajitas in both places Kyle's brought their fajitas order sizzling smoking Hot and we placed the same order the following weekend at your place and yours just came out regular not even close to sizzling and hot. First impressions are lasting impressions and your customers will either make you or break you and so will your employees. You don't compare to Garcia's in Kyle. On the bright side, your Enchilada Plate is pretty good.

Food was OK. Margaritas were good. Service was bad. The servers seemed to not know what they were doing and looked confused running around.

Department lunch, about a dozen of us. Service was great, food was hot and delicious. My go-to at any Mexican restaurant the first time is cheese enchiladas; that sets the standard. Suffice to say, I cleaned the plate.

We used to regulars here every weekend for breakfast. However, in the last 2 years, it has gone downhill. Messy, poor service and subpar food. Gave them one more chance today and weren't even offered chips and salsa when we were seated. Time to find a new place.

Do you want food that reminds you of eating grade school cafeteria food? Are you hungry for food that has no taste, is bland, and you get to pay for salsa and chips? Then come to Casa Garcia's! Your taste buds won't come alive with any sense of Mexican Cuisine while you front the bill and question, was it Mexican Food or did I just eat or Taco Bell, mmmmmm, yum. But wait, there's more, the morning after eating this slop will have you begging for sweet death, ENJOY!

One of our neighborhood neighbors had recommended Casa Garcia’s, so we decided to try it out one day while we were in New Braunfels. Casa Garcia’s was great! The chips and salsa were very good.I got the Beef Enchiladas lunch plate and my wife got a senior plate with a shredded chicken taco. Everything was soooo good and tasty! If you’re in the area and want a good place to eat lunch, stop by Casa Garcia’s, you won’t be disappointed.
