Udated review: I’ve been to this restaurant several times now, and I can honestly say my experience has gotten better each visit. The customer service has really improved, my take-out orders are ready right around the estimated time, and the food has been consistently great. I’d definitely recommend Clear Springs Restaurant.

Stopped in for a casual business dinner meeting. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Our server was amazing and took really good care of us. She had an upbeat personality and really engaged with us. I was impressed with her.
The onion ring tower is insane. Everything we ordered was good but the banana pudding was not my preference. I really liked their coleslaw

We stopped on our way back home and split a chicken fried steak. It was pretty good. The gravy was just okay, but the green beans were definitely canned:-( Banana pudding wasn't good at all.

Clear Springs Delivers: Famous Onion Rings and Incredible Dessert!
Having just moved here from Boston, we were eager to find great local spots and recently visited Clear Springs Restaurant. We had an absolutely phenomenal meal and were so impressed by the quality, especially the fish!
We started with the World-Famous Onion Rings, and they absolutely live up to the hype—they were perfectly crispy, sweet, and truly to die for. They were easily some of the best onion rings we’ve ever had.
For our main courses, we went for a mix of fried and blackened favorites. I chose the Combo Platter which included perfectly cooked fried catfish and tender fried oysters. Coming from Boston, we are used to high-quality seafood, and we were very impressed with the freshness and flavor of the fish here. The platter was served with all the classic fixings: crispy French fries, fresh cole slaw, savory pinto beans, and tasty hushpuppies.
My husband went with the Blackened Catfish, which had a fantastic spicy crust, paired with their incredible bacon-wrapped shrimp with jalapeno. His sides of green beans and hushpuppies were also excellent. We had to save room for dessert, and we are so glad we did! The homemade Banana Pudding was the perfect end to the meal. OMG, it was absolutely delicious—creamy, comforting, and just heavenly.
Clear Springs is a must-visit for classic comfort food and seafood that even East Coasters will appreciate. We will definitely be back!

*FAIR WARNING: they will not seat you unless all members of your party are present. I have a big family and a lot of slow elderly; doesn't matter if they're making their way inside, they will not seat you until every person has arrived inside to the hostess stand. Which I think is dumb, obviously.*
Service can sometimes be lackluster, but I believe they're short handed at the moment. Onion rings are always fabulous. My only complaint is that the larger salads do not have all the goodies a dinner salad has. I sometimes order 2 dinner salads for myself instead.
