Run. Don't walk. Run and get you some! My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! The price is a steal for the portion and we were literally salivating on the drive home smelling this. The owner is the nicest guy too so that's a plus. We will be visiting weekly. Thank you! ❤️
Great food truck for delicious Egyptian food!! Everything so was flavorful!! We will definitely be back!! 💯 🙌🏻
We had lunch here today and everything was delicious!! Would 100% recommend if you love food that has great flavor!! We will definitely be back 👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Served us a paper thin overcooked funnel cake. We then went back to give them a second chance and received the same thing. We will not be going back.

Very loud, waited about 40 min for food. Noticed others waiting to be seated but staff not in a hurry to bus tables. Food was good though
20 min wait to be seated and then an hour wait for our food was totally unacceptable. Others who ordered after us had already eaten their food and left before we even got our food. I let the manager know and she apologized and said she "would take care of us". When they brought the bill, they had given us a 10% discount. Absolutely not. I NEVER ask for a free meal, but I did this time because the service was so abysmal. Our waitress seemed annoyed that I even asked to talk to the manager and was so rude to us even though we didn't blame her for the slow food. The food was great, but not sure I would return.
Cocktails were terrible and food was sub par. The highlight of the meal was the french fries. Staff was pretty disinterested…? We won’t go back.
Hubby and I decided on this place as it was walking distance from our Hotel. The Artists selling their wares and demos set up in front got my attention. We had 3 fancy drinks, charcuterie board and shrimp and grits $120 later. The charcuterie board was lacking meats, lots of cheese and bleh fruit and pickles. Shrimp and grits was good but I'm starving an hour later. Mediocre at best.
We went there to have drinks and happy hour. They serve great drinks! We started talking to customers next to us and started talking politics. The GM told us we should not be talking politics in the bar. He was DRUNK. We were not being loud ata all. The GM informed us that he was there in his day off but we should not be talking about politics. He was adamant about that. It was obvious that he did not agree with us. Again, we were talking to person right beside us. We were not being loud at all. It was quite obvious that the “GM” was upset with us. I am ALL about small business but I will never go back there. My husband Lives their drinks there. He says”they are the best in town.” However, the GM trying to censor what we said is a huge turn off. AGAIN, we were having a few drinks, not being loud and he basically told us what to talk about and what NOT to talk about. He was drunk! We will NEVER go back. Sad thing. Censorship alive and well @ Downtowner.

Downtowners, close the Krause’s Café. was a solid choice for our breakfast. We splilt cheese, onion and bacon omelet, with biscuit and waters. The husband of our other couple won breakfast with a plate of two giant honey butter chicken biscuits and fries. His wife had pancakes. Glad we stopped her for a great breakfast.
Have a great home cooked meal and fantastic Old Fashions! The wait staff is helpful, quick and very attentive.
My husband and I decided to give dinner a try at the Downtowner. I ordered the chicken Tikka Masala for $16. It had 7 small squares of chicken, a bland "tikka" sauce, a large pile of white rice, not basmati as the menu indicated and naan that was just ok but not light and fluffy. I have had delicious authentic Indian food before that didn't cost $16. This was bad and pricey. My husband ordered the candied bacon meatloaf. He said it was dry and tasteless. The mashed potatoes were jsut ok and the carrots were excellent. Needless to say we will not be going back.
Son had a specialty beer which he said was excellent - since Mom was paying it had better be for $9.00 served in a wine glass! Son's fiancee ordered tacos...3 different meats offered, she chose, and got the wrong one. Son and I had the candied bacon meatloaf - mine with mashed potatoes that were stone cold and meatloaf was absolutely tasteless..didn't even have the quaint taste of hamburg. One strip of bacon that was so burnt it tasted like the black stuff off the barbeque. This restaurant was recommended to us by a waitress at another excellent restaurant, so we thought we would try it..HUGE mistake. Bill was $54.00 for the worst meal ever!
My husband and I, along with our family, made plans to have dinner at the Downtowner because one of our favorite artists, Jeff Wood, was playing. We had eaten there once before and had really enjoyed our meals. This past Saturday however, my Mom's fried chicken was overcooked and my husband's 16 oz steak had a significant amount of fat. The taste of the steak was delicious and it was very tender.....just too fatty. I had the curry butternut squash with shrimp meal and it was amazing!!! It came with naan bread that was also delicious. Definitely worth ordering again.
