First of all, the food was amazing. The bacon wrapped venison steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. Also, the atmosphere was really nice in the cafe. However, our server was extremely aloof and spent a lot of time talking with the rest of the staff. We had to flag him down to order our entrees after we finished our appetizers. He did apologize, but said that he was”busy doing something else.” Aside from sounding very unprofessional and as if serving his tables WASN’T a part of his job, again, he was just talking with his female coworkers. Afterwards, he mentioned refilling our drinks, but after we had almost finished our entrees, it was obvious that he had forgotten us again. Once we were done and ready to pay, he just told us the total. I had to ask to view the bill, which seemed to irk him. We’d love to go back, but will definitely ask for a different server if he ends up being assigned to us. **Update** We were able to make it back to Krause’s and did get to experience a different server. However, we went during a very busy time and as such, experienced similar delays in service. However, our server was much more pleasant this time around. We will likely return, as we’re huge fans of both of the sausage samplers.
Amazing beer selection, especially the German imports! I've been to a lot of German restaurants in my life, and the food and beer here is the best by far! It's definitely worth it to go.

They have such great atmosphere inside Krause’s Café. We sat out in the beer garden section to enjoy the live music, which was lots of fun. There were also two other dining areas, so plenty of seating for a multitude of people. They could easily handle large groups. FOr our meal, first, we ordered the large Bavarian pretzel and shared it. It comes with three mustard sauces to dip the pretzel into and they are all delicious especially the spicy one with a little horseradish in it. For our main course, we ordered the bratwurst pretzel platter which comes with sauerkraut, roasted brussels sprouts, a large pretzel with all the sauces to dip into and loads of bratwurst. It is easily enough to feed four hungry adults. Additionally, one person ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fresh fruit, another ordered the biergarten salad, which comes with herb vinaigrette and we also ordered a spinach salad. Everything was so delicious that you really need to go there hungry to consume all of the food you are served. We would definitely go again!

Krause's in New Braunfels is a must-stop! This German beer garden offers a perfect blend of great food, refreshing drinks, and a lively atmosphere. Sitting benches are the only downside, I personally was sitting on one side alone and another older couple came by and the lady pulled the bench out and it lifted and fell on her foot she was wearing sandals. Not ideal. Other than that mishap it was all phenomenal. Music was some of the absolute best I’ve heard live. The saxophone guy was tearing it up, English ✔️ Spanish ✔️ Pop✔️ Rock ✔️ !! They all were amazing. Loved it ! First time here and will be back again. I didn’t get the name of the band. I hope they are there next time we go.
