We love McAdoo's. The food is always outstanding and so is the service. There is a great selection of seafood and it's always cooked perfectly. We don't get out that way very often but when we do we really enjoy it. A great place for an excellent seafood meal.

Wonderfully delicious food and generous servings. I recommend the shrimp brochette, flash fried spinach and the famous McAdoo's fondue. Jim, our waiter was awesome! He made sure we had everything we needed and was professional, courtesy and accommodating. The old post office is still delivering the mail!

Service was below previous experiences. After being asked if we wanted the Salads to be served as appetizers or with the meal, we chose as appetizer. Result, Salads & Dinners all came out together. Ordered a side on potatoes that did not come out at all. Server did buy us a dessert to takeout. All other areas were great

We had the redfish pontchatrain and Chilean sea bass. Both dishes were delicious. The complimentary bread however was abysmal. Poor quality bread and I'm quite certain it was warmed up in the microwave.

Wait staff was very attentive. Restaurant was clean. Manager came by to see if our experience was a good one.

As mentioned in a previous review, my husband and I frequent here for date nights and there's a reason we keep coming back...the staff were so amenable to us showing up an hour before our reservation time and immediately sat us. With it being so early in the afternoon on a Monday, we were able to enjoy our meal before the hustle and bustle began! Oysters were fantastic and service was timely! Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive.

Always can count on two things whenever we go to McAdoo's, great service and a great meal. Outstanding as always.

My wife and I had an amazing Saturday dinner at McAdoo's with another couple from our church. Our server Victoria was perfect from start to finish, as she made sure we had everything we needed...from wine and appetizer recommendations, to extra lemon butter sauce for my almond crusted flounder, and to recommending the chocolate chip bread pudding for dessert to the couple that was with us (who'd never had bread pudding of any kind before.)

Our experience was everything we had expected and then some! The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was perfect for celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the service was impeccable. If you are looking for a great location to celebrate a special occasion or have an intimate evening with a special someone, or even just some friends, I highly recommend McAdoo's. Such a wonderful local gem!

We ordered the catfish and shrimp and crawfish etouffee and both were delicious. We will definitely go back.

Lighting level needs to be brought up a bit and noise level of the other diners was a bit much but the food and wait staff were great

Ally did a wonderful job serving us, the food was good, but I'd rather have smaller portions and a little bit less food because I can never eat it all.

We ate here twice on our trip and found everything to be great. Delicious food (great cheese grits) at reasonable prices. Our server, Eric, and the entire staff were all top notch.

The Oyster Rockefeller had great flavor and was nicely seasoned, but the portion size was shockingly small—about the size of a quarter—and the oysters were very flat, which really hurt the presentation and overall experience. For $180, it didn't feel worth it. On the bright side, our server was polite, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable.

Our server, jim did a good job of informing us of good choices. However, the almond crusted flounder was a disappointment. VERY LITTLE Almonds could be found. The hush puppies were great, the oysters were very good. The red sauce was better than the green. The bread was light and fluffy.
