I visited the MOD pizza location on Hwy 306 in New Braunfels, TX on 1/31/2026 around 3:00 pm on a Saturday. Not expecting anything unusual since this is not my first time with MOD Pizza. Today, my experience was not favorable as it was the most racist experience I've had in a long time.
I purchased wine with my pizza. At the register the Team Lead asked for my driver’s license. No big deal, this is a normal process for some locations. Then the 90’s or 2000’s kid asked me to state my birthday. Pardon me sir was my facial expression. I complied with his request; next the young kid tells me that I cannot go outside with the wine.
I looked with confusion since my order was dining in so why would I go outside? No seating outside either. He declares that they must tell everyone that. Right!
My experience with the service is unwanted/unnecessary racism. I will not spend my melanin dollars here again. The unwelcomeness received!

Fastfood oven fired pizza to order. The salads are great too. Gluten-free options are available bit no guarantee about cross contamination. It is really a great place to carry out or diner in.

The food was good, but the restaurant itself was absolutely filthy. The windows and doors were covered in grime, and the handles looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The soda fountain area was disgusting, sticky, and clearly neglected — even the spot where you grab the cup lids was filthy. It’s really disappointing because the food is solid, but the lack of cleanliness makes the whole experience unappetizing.

The food was excellent, fresh and made to order! However, there was a female employee there that loud and clearly hated working there and hates life. Good thing I wasn't management or know a manager. Not good for business!

Typically my favorite place to get *reasonably* priced gluten free pizza. It's not cheap, but better than paying like $25 for one small gluten free pizza at Dominoes. I would give 5 stars, BUT a few months ago I asked for cauliflower crust and was given regular crust and was sick for several weeks. I'm more vigilant now. It was an honest mistake, the girl just grabbed the wrong thing, but that could've been much worse if I had true celiac disease. Thankfully I just have a severe allergy 😅 not fun.

This place always welcome me with open arm's and that's kool vibe for me to alaway stop in here while doing work in New Braunfels. There mega caesar salad and cheese bread always hit the spot. Waited in line for five minutes nobody was in the store it was like a Zombie apocalypse that happened there wasn’t a single worker and I stood there and waited patiently but never got helped
It was also very dirty in the food toppings did not look very appetizing I can’t even lie
Not sure if the worker left or what that issue was but I left after not being held for five minutes and looking like an idiot standing there by myself that’s the only person in the store
