We visited Naegelin's today while we were in New Braunfels. I used to live in NB (1959 to 1990) and grew up on their pastries. My brother was a baker their in 1960 and 1961, so there was always Naegelin's pastries to eat. Bear Claws were my absolute favorite. After 30 years, I couldn't wait! Highly recommend the German rye bread. I never have liked it before, but got some for a dinner tonight since others do like the stuff. I tried a piece and it was really good! The first time I’ve had it and liked it! The Apple strudel was good too.
Always stop there when I pass through New Braunfels.
