Come on anyone who hates on this place is just wrong. It's the oldest bakery in Texas for a reason.

What a great bakery and the oldest in TX...such a treat!

Kolache’s were ok. Nice selection of baked goods. Shop was older but neat. Not very busy during the week.
Would try again to get a variety of items. Tried the sausage kolache and cream cheese pastry.
Nothing special about them.
Calling card was oldest bakery in NB. Maybe I just missed their signature items.

I have to say that I was disappointed after hearing this was a German bakery and finding they had no German pastries when I went. I expected German pretzels, rolls and bread but they had none, neither did they have German cakes.
Being a German and always looking to find food from home I know I can strike this one off my list ☹️

Best place for donuts on Texas!

Visited Naeglins on a trip to San Antonio. Bought apple coffee cake, gingerbread men, and two sausage rolls.

Sausage rolls were good.

Gingerbread men were soft and tasted as if they were made with cheap ingredients.

Apple coffee cake was bland and tasteless, as well.

Holy Jesus this place is to DIE for. Anyone new to the great town of New Braunfels, this place is a great place for pastries. Sure its the oldest one in Texas, but still! Its amazing! The people who work there are, chefs kiss quality. They are so polite, so kind, so proud to be here. I love this place! I suggest the maccorons (sorry if I butchered that word >////<) and the donuts. I have been going here for 9 years, and I cant belive it but ill be going here for every other year im here. THANK YOU <3

We decided to make the trip here from
Missouri after watching the YouTube show Roadtrippers about New Braunfels. The pastries were delicious and worth the drive!

I received the chocolate pie for Valentine’s Day, and it was very good. Along with the other mixed treats that we got from the bakery. Very cool to visit as it’s the oldest bakery in Texas.
