Has anybody ever gotten good service at New York Pizza Pub? Just wondering if it's just us? We literally sat there for 10 minutes, three different employees walked past us more than once and never even acknowledged we were there even after they saw us walk in and after making eye contact with them multiple times. The sign says pick a table and the server will be with you. Do we need to sit at the bar to actually get service or? This is not the first time we have had an issue and we enjoy the pizza but I think this will be the third and final time.

We wanted to try out a new pizza place in lovely New Braunfels and stumbled on this hole in the wall business. It was easy to find and had decent parking. Once we arrived we were quickly greeted and asked to sit wherever we liked. Our server was great and had a positive attitude. We first ordered the garlic cheesy bread with a side of marinara and ranch. And for our main pizza we ordered the medium Butcher Shop with Mikes Hot Honey Drizzle. It was a little of a wait for everything, but the taste was decent when it arrived and although I love spicy, the drizzle didn't really give the pizza any spice at all, but more of a sweet taste, so that was a little disappointing. With the nice bar like atmosphere, good pizza, and the positive vibes of the waiter, I give this business 4 stars. Will most likely come back to try other pizzas.

Love the place! This is our 3rd time coming. This last vist was disappointing. This, "Don" guy came in like he owned the place. He was very loud, rude and obnoxious. One of the workers asked him a question, and he told her if she was his server, she said no. He rudely asked her, "then why are you talking to me!" He was getting my blood boiling,But, I managed to keep my cool. I didn't have a good dining experience for that reason. I would definitely go back but, if he's there, I'm going somewhere else. I would've gave this place a 5 star but, he ruined that rate. The rest of the crew were awesome. Thanks crew!!

I used to live in CT, and I know New York pizza. New York pizza takes 10 min to make. We waited an HOUR. The pizza came out and was doughy (opposite of NY pizza) and greasy. Hot honey was not hot - yet still worth charging $4 for somehow. Server was kind and knew we’d be upset but nothing she could do. Trust the reviews and do not come here

My entire family loves this pizza pub. We are Italian all growing up and living half our lives in New York, and this is as close as you get to authentic New York Pizza. I would say you get a totally different experience when dining in and ordering takeout. I don't recommend checkout. My family has recently had 3 bad experiences in a row with takeout. Burnt calazone with the cheese melted out, pizza pie not sliced or cut, and making the wrong size for items ordered like baked ziti. The food is normally so great we kept giving this place a chance for takeout when we needed it, but we will only dine in from now on which is very unfortunate.

New York Pizza Pub is right around the corner from our house and we frequently buy pizza from them. Their garlic knots are amazing. The pizza is usually amazing. "Usually" is the only reason I'm hesitant to give 5 stars. Most of the time the cheese, sauce, topping, bread ratio is on point, the pizza is evenly cooked and not burnt, and the service is prompt and polite. Every once in a while it seems like we hit a busy night or perhaps a new hire and one of those things slips a bit. It's never bad enough to wish we hadn't ordered, just noticeable when you get used to the typical quality. It has happened enough times to know it's also not just a one time occurrence. Otherwise we're very happy to have them so close! Keep up the good work!

Let me start out with a positive, the young man that sat us and got our drinks was polite and accommodating and the fried ravioli were tasty.The rest of the service was terrible, but I guess that saved us from spending $50 on pizza. Once we got the order for the ravioli, our server seemed to just forget about us, which was odd, because it wasn't busy. 3 tables were occupied.I've been a server before, and worked in large and small locations. You can't just leave your customers idle, as they get more frustrated and can't place their order. Even a simple check in would have kept us there and likely changed this review

Really damn good pizza! Sometimes the wait is long especially on the weekend but everyone is so nice and it's 100% worth the wait! The ambiance is your typical pizza/sports bar vibe but I enjoy those places! And the pizzas are huge so you will have plenty of leftovers for days!! So good!
I’m truly sad to post this review! I’ve been going there for the past three years and absolutely loved their pizza! But, the last three orders have been crazy! I ordered again last night because I was too tired to cook and usually could count on a good pizza from here! Last night the pizza was SO hard! Crust burnt and lacked in cheese and sauce! I was so disappointed ? this was the 2nd time in a row since the new owner has taken over! I realize I only spent $24.00 but that times 2 is too much!! My man went to heat up a piece and it literally cracked when he bit into it ?♀️? I was going to call them but I figured they would only offer another pizza and honestly, I didn’t want another one!I’m so sad that we won’t be eating there anymore! It was such a great place to go … great location as well! I had told so many of my neighbors about this place as well … as we live in a pretty big new community.

I just stopped by to pick up a pizza. Second time trying this place. The first time I was part of a group of 35-40 ladies that meet regularly for outings in NB. So, we descended on this smallish space with this whole big group. Don was one of our servers and what an amazing sense of humor he has! Everyone enjoyed our lunch, service was delightful, and, as well the food. I was one of the last to leave NY Pizza Pub and was chatting with Don. In a totally friendly and humorous fashion he mentioned that it might have been helpful to have had a heads up that we were coming. Our event coordinator apparently had forgotten to let them know. Gracious and efficient while poking fun at himself. Everyone loved it! Second visit was today. I asked about a gluten free pizza choice and was told the supplier has them on back order. This is unfortunately fairly common. I ordered a pizza for my husband while I had a beverage in the bar. Don was bartending and had his usual jolly sense of humor and service at the ready. He's friendly and clearly has regular patrons. My dirty martini was easily one of the best I've had. As I was waiting for the pizza, a new employee, Andrea, came over to me and offered to let me know when the gf pizza crust option would be available as she is gf as well. She took my contact info and I have every reason to believe I will hear from her. What service! When I got home my husband enjoyed the pizza immensely, and I enjoyed the fresh toppings off of the pizza. Highly recommend!

Been going here since I was a kid, still amazing as always. I absolutely love their cheese pizza and their chicken wings! They are a must order anytime my friends or family is over. But I will say they have gone up in price.
