Oct 2024 - Riley's Tavern is a MUST STOP just on historical Texas reference alone. Don't let the outside appearance scare you away. it is rough but worth a look and a cold brew at the bar. I can't comment on the food, but there is/was a food truck, and you can bring it inside to enjoy. It wasn't busy, so the service was great. Nice dive bar with locals who all know each other. They were having a pool tournament the night we went. JJ was talking to me and she seemed to know everyone. Historic bar that claims to be the first in Hays county to get a liquor license after the end of prohibition.
