Shipley Do-Nuts

The first thing this woman asked me was how much of a tip I wanted to put on my card, I was taken back, especially since I had not received my one dozen cold donuts. I felt that she would waste the tip on more tattoos, I sure that's just me.

I ordered some donuts and kolaches. I paid in cash and the worker didn’t even ask about tip he just gave himself a 20% tip instead of giving me my change. I don’t mind tipping at places like this, but at least ask. Also boxing up six donuts isn’t worth 20%.

The nice thing about Shipley’s is you know what you’re getting every time and it’s pretty good overall. The bad thing about Shipley’s is you can never predict how long the drive thru will take. I find it’s almost always faster to park my car and walk inside to get what I want versus sitting in the drive through…

Just a heads up- they will verbally ask you what you want to tip as you’re rushing trying to quickly leave after sitting in the long line for 15+ minutes without anyone acknowledging the long wait.

Getting kind of old asking for tips all the time. Will tip non service places if I have extra and not being asked for it. McDonald's Whataburger, Wendy's, Taco Bell... don't ask for tips. Hopefully Shipley's paying a decent similar wage. Also, when I lived in Victoria and Houston, you always had the option for hot donuts, ready to eat. Don't have to go find a microwave or eat cold hard donuts.

Your daughter cannot go into establishments saying (loudly) her mother owns multiple Shipleys and be entitled to treat employees like trash.I have nothing to do with either businesses, just witnessed your daughter and her husband at a local restaurant last night, then have the audacity to give them a 1-star after they caused the havoc.As a business owner, yes, you agree with the customer and say you are correct— maybe when it comes to a cold donut and a hard kolache but not when belittling and cursing out an 18 yr old employee.Lexi— you were wrong and I hope you remove your misleading review.
