This is a great place for a date night enjoying fancy drinks, awesome live jazz music and romantic dim light. The food doesn’t have many options but the atmosphere is really amazing ?

Happened to find this place off a Reddit recommendation and I’m so glad I did! Went with a friend and the drinks were excellent. As a bourbon guy, they had a great selection. The service though was on another level. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the manager (I believe), younger guy with an awesome mustache who couldn’t be any nicer! He helped me find a table during a time when it was already starting to get packed. Our server was just as awesome and made great recommendations. My friend and i loved the vibe of the bar. Would definitely come back. Didn’t get to try the food though.

Basement bar with classic cocktails. Live piano player provides entertainment. We stopped by on Tuesday and there were lots of great Tequila specials. I'd suggest reservations especially during the summer.

Honestly, I love this place! It came here for the first time last week and didn’t have a reservation. I waited at the bar until a table open. Their drinks are great, but my goodness their food! I got the lobster rolls and the crabcakes. I had to add some salt, but I had salt to everything. But I was in heaven!I came back this week and got the brown butter, curry shrimp, and the Aji tuna nachos! I’m in heaven. The jazz music was awesome. The service staff was incredible. And the food top notch! I’m not sure why I would go anywhere else! What a great way to spend a Friday evening!Oh, and the edamame. Amazing!

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Sidecar! Sidecar is a lovely speakeasy that never disappoints with cocktails and food. They change their menu seasonally, and have very fair prices for their intricate drinks. I recommend Sidecar to anyone who's looking for a good cocktail with a pleasant atmosphere.
Service was superb. Intimate relaxed atmosphere with limited seating, no overcrowding. Unusual and excellent cocktails to experience. The Sidecar offered a fixed 4 course dinner on Valentine's Day of gourmet quality. To use a cliché, the filet au poivre melted in my mouth. Best Valentine's Day dining I've experienced.

We have been here several times, stayed at Prince Solms and ate at Muck in fuss regularly. We decided to go have some appetizers and drinks at Sidecar. We arrived early and sat at the bar. We ordered several drinks and appetizers. We were having a great time until out of nowhere the bartender told us to leave. We were not being rude, loud or disrespectful in any way. Just talking to each other enjoying the atmosphere. I get the fact that the bartender has the right to cut us off, but we were not driving, even mentioned to the bartender that we would be taking an Uber home. Anyways, I have never been told to leave a bar before. It threw me for a loop and We left there wondering what we did to deserve to be kicked out. I will never spend another dollar at Sidecar, muck n fuss or a prince solms. And as a manager of a business myself I will be sure to tell everyone how they treat their patrons.

Wonderful service on a busy Friday night. Cocktails were perfect, food was great -- get the curry shrimp if nothing else -- and music was on point. If you're looking for a conversation it will have to be between music sets -- or maybe the bar is more conducive to conversation, we were close to the stage. Zero complaints. A true gem of a spot in New Braunfels. Well done folks!
