Very disappointing. Service was sub par. My tuna was too salty and I could not eat it. Lamb chops were only ok. The only good thing was the shrimp gratin appetizer.

We have been here a few times, we had our rehearsal dinner here back in 2019 and it has always been fantastic. The food is to die for and their specials are always amazing. We celebrated my husband's birthday and the waitress was so nice especially to our son. Always a great experience, definitely recommend!
Visited The Gruene Door during an overnight stay in Gruene for our anniversary. We had the best experience that all started with our amazing server Jeff, followed by an excellent meal, delicious mixed drinks, and a superb dessert. Jeff did an outstanding job recommending options and ensuring we had a wonderful time. I would recommend the hibiscus mule, the bruschetta appetizer, and the pan seared ahi tuna.

You better have a ton of time and patience for this place. Just got our first round of drinks - 30 mins for a drink. Drinks and ambience great. Maybe slow service is their schtick??? Maybe I’m not sophisticated enough for this place. Could be right for you though. Cheers!

We went here for my buddies birthday (he said he was 37 I said just say you’re 40 already and get it over with). Anyways the food was the best! My wife has celiac and they were incredibly accommodating for allergies. No issues. They cooked my steak to perfection. Really an incredible spot to share with a loved one on a night out!
