I chose an order of 3 meats and they only gave me 2 small and rickety pieces. I also specified that they did not put pickles and anyway they threw them out. I realized all this after 18 minutes that it took them to give me my order, I will not return to that place

My husband and I are recent residents of New Braunfels Texas and after shopping at H.E.B several times we decided it was time to try True Texas BBQ. I have to admit the lean brisket was the best I've ever eaten but unfortunately the service flunked. The order window was closed as soon as we stepped up to it. The man working the window was pulled to help fill the App orders. Obviously we were not a priority, we waited over 30 minutes to have our order taken. Several people gave up and left and one man downloaded the app and picked up his food the same time we did. I understand this happens often. Maybe they want to add to their employees? If we order from this location again it will be thru the app.

The best brisket I've eaten. The price is very average. I think it's better than Blacks and most of the places I've eaten brisket. I was kinda pleasantly surprised because I was reluctant to try it at first and I'm so glad that I ended up doing it. I would kick my self in the rear for not doing it.
Twice in 2 days I have been charged for items that they didn't include (ordering online), and doing it this way I was out approximately $30 which they refunded $11. Can't even find the order as placed the second time. What a shame. Why set up a curbside (made day the day before) with this much trouble. What is the problem? How many trips to include HEB BBQ for Thanksgiving...

We were doing some light grocery shopping and decided to grab some BBQ. We had heard really good things about it, and being a self-proclaimed BBQ snob, thought we would give it a shot. First off, the two guys working in there couldn't have been nicer and seemed to love their jobs, which is rare these days.Secondly, the BBQ was okay. I would give it a 3.5 if it could. The brisket was really good. The turkey was pretty good. The ribs were just okay, and the sausage we tried and threw the rest away. I didn't care for it. I will say I have had a lot worse at so-called specialty, award winning BBQ places. I would definitely go back and get the brisket and turkey, but would try and keep my eye on the scale. The brisket looked a little light, so we weighed it, and it was .84 of a lb. Maybe they made it up on the turkey? Anyway, the price was affordable, and I would think most would love it. It's just that I have eaten at close to 100 BBQ places and have had some of the most incredible BBQ ever made. So, I seem to judge all BBQ by those few mouth-watering delicious BBQ places.

The manager reached out to me and provided exceptional customer service. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and the quality of their food. He offered to give me any meal of my choice to make it up and will ensure the quality is right. I look forward to giving this place another try, but am impressed with their professionalism and care.
