Wow we found a jewel here! We were looking for a breakfast place. The Grand Texas Cafe has a wonderful and friendly staff and fresh yummy homemade food. Breakfast is made with organic eggs and you can choose your cooking oil for them to be cooked in. Avocado oil, olive oil, or clarified butter. We came in late but they graciously served us breakfast anyway. We will be back !

I had the nachos, when they got to my table I was not impressed with the portion .. way to little for the price and on the menu it says grilled beef or chicken and it was definitely fried ground meat , the mimosas were really good and the service was wonderful, very nice lady took care of me she was all smiles and made sure my drink was never empty and that I was happy ! I’m giving 3 stars due to the very small portion! 5 stars for the service!

After being disappointed at a crawfish restaurant, we found Grand Texas Cafe with a crawfish truck out front. We had already resorted to eating BBQ at a nearby restaurant, but we were still craving crawfish so we gave it a try. They only came one way, so not extra spicy, but not mild. They were actually just right for us. And they were big! They had a special on 3lbs. which came with the corn, potatoes, and mushrooms. Everyone was really nice and service was fast!

Saturday morning me and my wife had the place to ourselves. Vibe was right. Red potatoes little too salty. Asked for over hard eggs. Eggs was runny. But I love the quietness.

The room was not properly cleaned, the floor was filthy, even my shoes were stained after walking inside the room. Hotel has a 3rd day house keeping policy which is disgusting. Took two days of requests to have my room cleaned only after a strong complaint at the front desk. Manager was no where to be found. Even then the room was not clean. Upon further investigation I found the hotel only employeed ONE cleaning person for all the hotel. Will not come back.
I have stayed at this property numerous times. This visit was on par with prior stays. The size and layout of the room is okay. The hot water ran out in the evening and the shower heads didn’t all work for to calcium deposits. The towels are now very thin AND small.

The room was very spacious, and very clean. Love that there is no carpet in the rooms , makes the room so much cleaner, and not afraid to walk around bare foot. Even though the hotel is next to a truck stop we couldnt hear any outside noise. And the barbeque place next door was a huge plus , it was walking distance to pick up our order. I would stay here again if in the area.

Nice new hotel with staff attitude issues and hot water problems and slow draining sinks. Possible electrical issues. The power went out one night but just in our room. There was a breaker box in the room and I found a thrown breaker. Master electric switch that looks like a regular light switch. It must be on for any lights to work. It’s not marked at all. Really poor attitude of staff / owner. When I reported the water issues I was just told that’s the way it is

What to say. They have bar. They can serve drinks, nothing complex. They have a menu, but I'm not sure if they have a cook. They managed a pizza for our little ones but couldn't pull together our order. We ended up doing door dash. They might have been short staffed. People running the front desk were running the Cafe. Breakfast is fine, for the price they do have someone to make eggs and pancakes.

Stayed here on the way to Galveston. This place was great, easy to find, plenty of parking. Room was exceptionally clean and spaceous. Entire hotel was very clean. All the staff we interacted with were great. Nice bar and restaurant area. Try the pizza, it is great. Will definirly stay here next year on our yearly trip to Galveston
