Drove from Houston to Madisonville to avoid hurricane. First time trying Dickey's. Stopped to get a chopped beef sandwich and a 1 meat plate for my wife. Giving 4 stars because of portion size on sides. The chopped beef with sweet sauce is amazing. And my wife's chicken was juicy. We plan on making another visit.
2 brisket and cheese tacos. About as big as a card. Very little brisket. Brisket flavor was not bad, but not worth the $6.39 with taxes. Is not everything BIGGER in Texas? Only thing big here are their yellow cups...

This particular Dickey's is inside a convenience store, but it does have seating. The food was typical Dickey's - not great but not bad either. I liked the jalapeno beans. No options for pickles, onions, or jalapenos like a restaurant would have. In the middle of nowhere with lots of places closed for July 4th, I was glad they were open.
