Stopped in this past week and grabbed me some chopped brisket and it was sooooo good ! And the owners are wonderful !! If you’re in the area be sure to stop !! You will not be disappointed!

Today my Wife and I are celebrating our special day eating at a very special place that we found by accident the last time we were on our way to Lockhart and San Antonio. We were unable to stop by last time but I told her that next time we headed out this way we would make a stop at Pioneer BBQ in Nixon Tx. It's a small town with small BBQ place packed with flavor and unbeatable prices, it was amazing in every way. The atmosphere was great, the customer service was amazing, and the food and company were phenomenal.
This BBQ place is definitely top notch and I will be stopping by again. Thank you for everything Amy.

We stopped here for lunch after a work meeting at a rig. The 4 of us shared two samplers and we're barely able to finish them. Great deal on the food.

Nice hole in the wall bbq place. Potato salad and corn were solid sides. Weird not being able to get mac and cheese. Anyways, brisket was dry and didn't have much flavor. Looked moist when he cut it but I don't know. Rib was pretty good and came off the bone nicely, still lacking a bit of flavor. Might have been an off day, I'd try it again though.

So everything was good, not one thing was bad, im telling you the firecracker corn was spicy and good, the spicy slaw was a great change from the normal, the brisket was moist and good, and the smoked peach cobbler was something different in a good way. So glad I found this place, 8 will be eating here everytime I'm in town.

Driving from Corpus Christi to Austin. Craving BBQ. The Pioneer BBQ is conviently on the side of the road. Didnt have to detour. AMAZING Food! My husband and parents LOVED it. So friendly. Love the atmosphere. The amount of food for us 4 was plenty with left overs. Juicy turkey. Amazing brisket! You have to stop by and try it!
