Hunan Wok Chinese Restaurant

Haven’t gone in years since I moved out of the area; however a friend wanted to take me to lunch to celebrate my birthday. I suggested Hunan Wok. Big disappointment. While the prices were good, the quality of the food was lacking. My food was primarily raw onions with two pieces of bell pepper and some bites of beef. Way too much salt (soy sauce). The eggroll was overcooked and tasteless. The fried rice was super dark (grey) and it too was over salted. The mandatory 20% gratuity was over the top. There were only two of us and the service was mediocre at best. The eating area looked cluttered. There were boxes, large enough to hold a refrigerator stacked in the corner and a prep area that was absolutely nasty looking. The owners were really into feng shui when we ate there 15+ years ago. Not so much now. We will not return.

It sure looks good but why am I being double charged for an order thatsbeing picked up?

Love the aesthetic of this place and the food smells amazing it’s really hidden otherwise this place would be booming and the egg roll is on another level

I have been ordering from this restaurant for years. Today I ordered lo mein with 4 different kinds of meat. It was delivered with a couple of pieces of chicken scraps. I called to let them know so they could deliver what I actually ordered. The woman who answered the phone loudly argued with me about my order. She said there was plenty of meat in my order, which was a lie. I told her that I still had the order so they could examine it.
She continued to argue. Spoke with the manager and he said I’d have to pick up my new order. That was unreasonable and I ended the conversation.
Don’t bother going here or ordering an order for delivery. They are such a disappointment.

First time eating here, the Orange Chicken was Excellent. Shrimp Lo Mein very good as well. Delivery was fast. I will come back.

First and LAST! I ordered beef fried rice and not sure how old the beef was cause it felt like rubber, I couldn’t eat it. The server only showed up once when she brought the food and NEVER again, drinks were never refilled and NEVER once asked if everything was ok.. I had to find her just to pay my bill and the total was way more than what it was supposed to be, so I asked for a receipt and noticed she added her own 20% tip without even letting me know, mind you it was only for 2 people, she said that’s how they do it. NEVER AGAIN….

they gave us mostly just onion with sauce on it for 15$ very little Mongolian beef and its not seasoned very bland taste

Love this place! Been coming here for over 20 years. If you want GOOD Chinese food similar to what you get up north then you have to try it. We love the lo mein, orange chicken and especially the Hunan Chicken is great. Dumplings are really good also. Go!

Nice quiet atmosphere. Food was hot. Server knew the menu when I wanted white sauce and I ordered the wrong item. I got the hot and sour soup and it had lots of chicken in it. I got steamed shrimp with vegetables I believe is how I got the white sauce.

The food was disgusting had one bite and lost my appetite and to make it worse there was one roach crawling on the wall and for 3 people to have lunch the total was 85 dollars because she adds her own tip when she didn’t even give the appropriate service would definitely not recommend waste of money

I ordered orange chicken and when I got home and ate my food I found several pieces of Bones in my orange chicken. I called the restaurant to let them know they accused me of being a liar because they didn't see the bones. I offered to bring them to the restaurant to show them and they told me those could be made up bones. So I would not be returning to this restaurant and I recommend everyone find another place that has better customer service because the lady was so rude with me on the phone

Good overall was good but my main problem was that I ordered spring rolls and wasn’t expecting shrimp in it. On the menu #105 does not disclose that there is shrimp inside (picture included of menu) I’ve never had a spring rolls from any restaurant that had meat in it. I’m allergic to shrimp. I called to ask if it was supposed to be in there and they said yes that it is a shrimp spring roll. When I said that the menu only says crispy spring roll and nothing about shrimp and that I was allergic. She said she had no ability to change it. They can get someone killed like that!
