Taco Bueno

Not my favorite place. The food does not seem very fresh. I had the taco salad and it was meatioker at best. The salsa bar Pico digio was not fresh at all. I had a sour smell so I skipped it.

Turn the ac on its soo hot in here. I've noticed this and all the Buenos like you were trying to save money I bet it's killing your employees working back there in the kitchen.

UPDATE- Taco Bueno's Guest Services has begun looking into the Automatic Upsizing Issue for a resolution so hopefully this location will stop using the deceptive methods soon. I will continue to provide updates.

ORIGINAL- I don't like businesses that use deceptive practices such as the management and employees at this Taco Bueno. I order through the Drive Thru off the menu that states a price for a Combo with a small drink $9.69 which is $10.49 with tax, but they automatically upside you to a medium drink and tell you the total is $11.24. I don't want to upside and pay 75 cents more for a drink larger that what I want to drink. They got me the first time on this without me realizing it thinking I misread the price. I'm sure they get a lot of other customers especially if you place a large order of multiple items. Each time they deceptively make an extra .75 cents. When I questioned it the next time, the manager tried to tell me it was tax and I said there is no way tax on $9.69 comes to $11.24. After that, I started ordering and specifying a small drink and they still routinely upside me. This is the only location I have run across this practice at and I wonder how much additional revenue they make by ripping their customers off.

Despite always asking the drive through employees to confirm, without fail, they appear incapable of differentiating between bean and beef, as we always receive the opposite of what we order.

Is it our fault for consistently returning to this location expecting different results? I suppose so.

The food we receive, even if it is not what we ordered—which is an expectation at this point—is typically well prepared, however.

Nevertheless, when you want a beef burrito, you want a beef burrito…

Why someone would give 5 stars to a fast food place is beyond me. Besides that, this location had only 2 people working at 5:30 pm, but the parking lot was also empty. That should have probably told me something. Bought a meal, took it back to my hotel, and by the time I was thinking about going to bed, my innards felt like I had actually purchased sugar-free gummy bears. Not a great experience.
