The restaurant was very clean, and the restroom was clean as well (which always matters to me). When I was browsing the menu, I was honestly overwhelmed because there were so many good options to choose from šŸ˜‚ but my server was super patient, kind, and understanding while I decided, which I really appreciated. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the money. From the breakfast plates to the pancakes, coffee, and juice, everything tasted fresh and well made. You can tell they care about quality. Overall, great food, great service, and a clean, comfortable place to eat. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We tried this place back when it first opened. We didn’t like it, the eggs were seasoned with some floral type of flavoring which was terrible.
Today we were in a hurry and didn’t want to go further away from home and decided to try this place again. I am happy to say it was terrific, eggs were without seasoning and the rest was great as well. So happy about this as we live near by.

We’re new to Texas. I’m gluten intolerant so finding this place - and so close to home - was super exciting. So many gf opportunities me! However, the service is severely lacking.

We are always greeted with warm smiles, but our visits always end with an issue that could have been easily avoided.

We are seasoned brunchers and rewarding for good service with tips well-over 25% is important to us - when the service warrants. We have yet to be able to do it.

All we expect is that our needs are anticipated - so we don’t have to work harder than the server:
•take order correctly and repeat to ensure
•do we have salt/pepper/ketchup/extra napkins
•ask if we would like refills - especially once food is delivered to table
•did everything come out as ordered
•be kind

If you do these bare-minimum, you’ll receive a tip so we 25%! And we REALLY WANT TO GIVE THAT!! It makes us soooo happy to do it!!!

These things haven’t happened but it hadn’t been awful enough not to return - but the most recent has us thinking twice.

I ordered the 2 x 4. As I’m giving my specs: eggs over easy, burn the bacon, add cheese to eggs, and ā€œI need a gf pancakeā€.

Food arrives and I have a stick of regular pancakes PLUS my gluten free pancake. I want the contaminated pancakes away from my food AND I don’t want to be charged for additional items pancake comes with breakfast), so I tell her I can’t eat the stack which is why I ordered the pancake as gf. She raises her voice in frustration saying, ā€œYOU told ME - and a gluten free pancake!ā€ Was though I meant I wanted a regular stack plus a gf. That makes no sense to me but in the end, it’s the servers responsibility for clarifying.

She made things so uncomfortable as she stormed off in a huff. She seemed to tell others what happened and it appeared the manager overheard but no one checked on us. We were in shock!

I’ll never understand why it’s so difficult to take ownership of your job and deliver a simple, ā€œI apologize for the mixup!ā€ when something goes awry… Then learn from it.

I usually have breakfast here twice a month. The food is fresh with fresh squeezed OJ. Price is just a wee bit higher than some places but not outrageous. My only issue is the wait staff. Sometimes they disappear for 20 minutes. Where they go no one knows. But be prepared to sit at your table up to 30 minutes after your meal until someone comes to check on you. So if you have the time, breakfast is highly recommended. They would have earned 4 stars if it weren’t for the wait staff disappearing ALL - THE - TIME.

From the moment I arrived the experience at Northlake Cafe was smooth and welcoming. The servers were friendly, attentive and made great menu suggestions. I tried the brunch and breakfast offerings and both were delicious – the pancakes were fluffy, the omelet was perfectly cooked and the coffee was rich and aromatic. The restaurant feels like a cozy family spot and it’s a great place for a casual morning meal. I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone searching for a good brunch near me or a solid American cafe.

We had a wonderful visit to Northlake Cafe and are especially impressed by the servers. They are always friendly, attentive and make sure our meal is perfect from start to finish. The staff creates a relaxed atmosphere that makes the breakfast experience feel cozy, and they handle everything with a smile. It’s a great spot when you’re looking for a home-cooked breakfast or lunch and we go there almost every week now!
