Quail is the best in Texas. Cajun Chicken pasta is a very close second, with the sundried tomatoes. Staff is always very friendly. Only downside is the sticky tables. Drives me nuts. Seriously, sand and revarnish them. Love this place regardless.

Stopped in for dinner on our way back home from Corpus Christi. Enjoyable restaurant just a couple miles off 37 in Odem. Friendly staff… delicious food. Met one of the owners- she was very welcoming. Highly recommend visiting!

Not very busy, but a steady lunch crowd. Sort of a funny smell when walking in. At first I thought it smelled like pee, but as I set it may of just been sea food in the trash. Not bad, but noticeable. Ordered an appetizer and came out pretty fast. Waitress was a little inattentive as far as tea refills were concerned. Had an empty glass almost every time she would finally come to table. She completely forgot to turn one of our orders in and when the food came in, she said she would get his turned in right away. I thought she she should have paid for his meal, but that is neither here nor there. Once we paid the tab, the waitress never came back by. We stayed and visited a bit, but no refills. Food was quite tasty. Had the catfish and shrimp. The starter sauce and red sauce were a delight. Other than the service, which wasn’t horrible, good place to eat.

I can eat 2lbs of their fried shrimp! Pure shrimp flavor along with their sauces only enhances the fried shrimp.

You can not eat here without ordering the delicious Avocado Salad. Its pre-dressing takes it to a level you need to experience every time.

If visiting from CCTX it’s worth the drive to Odem, TX and you’ll be eating local.

We stopped by on our way to Groves, Tx. I ordered the Cajun chicken Alfredo, and the husband ordered the shrimp and catfish plate. The chicken tasted fresh, and the Alfredo sauce had a slight kick, which was most excellent. The catfish was blackened just right and had no fishy taste. The hobo potatoes were a mix of russet potatoes and sweet potatoes. I don't like sweet potatoes. However, these fries were really good, not greasy at all. Their brocolli slaw was a perfect mix, and the cranberries were most definitely a plus. The rice pilaf and the greenbeans, however, were a bit on the greasy side but good none the less. The wooden floors were a bit sticky that my shoe would come off when walking. Lol. That was one of the only complaints about the establishment. The service was excellent. We were greeted with a smile, and our waitress was attentive. We will most definitely stop by on our way out of town and back. This was a pleasant surprise.

Some of the best food around Corpus Christi. Crab Cakes Pontchartrain and Grilled Quail are amazing, but so is everything on the menu.

Horrible experience at this restaurant in Odem! Took around 20 minutes to get drinks and finally left after 1 1/2 hours and still no food! There was only one other table dining when we arrived. Several groups came in after us, received their food and some left and we still had no food for our table. Our waitress, Akacia, proceeded to glare and give us dirty looks after we complained to the manager, then thought it was a good idea to walk up to our table being confrontational and arguing with us. Girl needs to be fired! While waiting to pay our tab for drinks we did receive, Akacia then went over to another table dining and was talking bad about us while they all stared at us. Very unprofessional and will NOT return. They lost a nice tab of 7 meals, 3 appetizers and what could have been a nice tip by simply not delivering our food and being unprofessional.
