If you've never had the chicken from El Buen Pollo, you're missing out on quite possibly the best chicken in Odessa. Place sells whole and 1/2 chickens, char-grilled, and I know a lot of places use that term... but THIS place actually does it RIGHT, and better than probably 90% of all the chicken places here that claim to "char-grill to perfection". This is the best place for roasted chicken on the west side. If you blink you might miss it like I almost did! I’m so glad I turned around for this small out of the way place. A little over $16 and I got a whole chicken, jalapeños, onions, salsa, hot corn tortillas, and seriously the best chicken I’ve had in a long time. Great food. Great people. I walked there in cold weather to grab a bite to take home and instead of making me wait outside in the line they let me in and took my order. They were so nice, and the half chicken and the beef ribs were delicious. The breakfast plates they serve are also amazing. I am definitely going to come here more frequently now.
