We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. The steaks were quite pricey. The prime rib was mostly fat! Service was slow. Food was warm, not hot. Sorry we won't be back!

Nice restaurant, service was a little slow. My 45 day ribeye was very good, cooked as I ordered med rare. Sides were ok, not bad but not stand out. Overall worth the 1.5 hour drive to get there. Also they have a 25.00 special for 2. It will be hard to beat anywhere. Several items to choose from well worth it.

Really good food and great service. Definitely recommend. Family dinner out. Try the 1855 ribeye.

Second time here. First for dinner when they first opened. Food was pretty good but servers were untrained. Came back this week for dinner. Ordered a burger and my wife a "loaded potato". Burger was ok; only not really good as it wasn't hot;bun was cold. Potato was disappointing; for $8.95 wasn't loaded; minuscule amount of butter, sour cream, bacon and cheese. Yes, we could have asked for more, but our servers grooming standards were so substandard and body odor so offensive we wish we had left before we ordered. I hate to be negative, I'd love to see 1855 be successful but I don't think they'll make it if they don't step up their game.

Sheila is an excellent server. Salad was delicious and so were the rolls. I chose the prime rib with the loaded mashed potatoes and zucchini squash mix. Everything I had was good. The prime rib wasn't great but it was still good. My wife had the herb grilled chicken, she said the same thing about it, good but not great, portion was small to for the price.

Since i cannot give zero stars, I gave one. How many stars would YOU give to a place you couldn't even eat? I took my wife here tonight, intending to have a nice dinner for our anniversary. The sign at the entry said, Please Wait To Be Seated. Well, we stood there while various employees wandered back and forth, ignoring us. The chef (recognized by his photo on the website) stood about ten feet away chatting with a small group of customers on their way out. After 5 minutes, we left. We can't comment on the food since we didn't have any.

Went with a colleague for lunch. Been around Palestine for 30 years, but never frequented an "upscale" steakhouse, here. The place was lovely - looks like a fun drinking place for the evenings. Wait staff was courteous. We ordered 1855 ribeyes, medium rare. The steak was awful! Overcooked, maybe 3/8" think, and full of gristle. We spent most of our time pulling out the inedible parts of the steak. The waitress was apologetic and offered to repair (whatever that meant), but the experience was established. I did not read the reviews before hand. Otherwise, I would have known. $40 steaks that were inedible! Sides were good, atmosphere was good, but you can't overcome the bad "signature" steak. Don't bother.

Our waitress Wanda made me and my daughter feel more than comfortable , she gave us excellent service which is somewhat very rare now days. The food was fabulous, no complaints what so ever. The restaurant was very clean, open spaced and very pleasant. Enjoyed the experience. And once again WANDA was one of the reasons that made it so very pleasant.I and or we will be back to enjoy it again.Best Restaurant I've been in for a long time.Thank youMary Gouge

We enjoyed the appetizers the most. We got onion rings and fried chicken. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in Steaks and sides. Plus service was slow.

Outstanding food, outstanding service (hailey). Ribeye was perfectly cooked, onion rings are a perfect addition to any meal.

Visiting Palestine and tried this place out on a Saturday night. Was surprised it wasn't busier than it was. Sheila was our server and she's a doll. ALL our food was delicious! From the 8oz filet to the big rib eye and mountain order of onion rings. It WAS all so very good. Nice clean atmosphere, definitely would come back.

I went on a Sunday afternoon with my niece ordered a steak it came out and was tough and the macaroni and cheese tasted like powder!! Ordered prime rib French fries and those fries had not seen any prime rib!! Horrible experience! Don't waste your time or your money!!!

The little Ice house behind restaurant has nice pool tables and cheap drinks. Only ate once and was not impressed. Food took forever and they even forgot my Sons steak. Could have been the hottest place in town. Small town people only give you one chance to impress. Very nice Owner. Just needs a different approach for the opportunity to stand out. Excellent location for a great establishment. Lots of missed opportunities from unused space in back. Don't see it open much longer.

This is a surprise gem of a restaurant!!! Traveling through on our way back home, we stopped here for a Sunday brunch. Starting with our server, Bree, we knew this was a great choice. The service she provided was outstanding. The brunch buffett looked amazing, and it didn't disappoint. Scott, the chef, was really friendly. He explained the buffet offerings and cooked our omelets perfectly. He even offered to keep the buffet open for us if we were going to go back for more. From the outside you won't know how great this place is, but don't let that stop you. Go on inside, and have a really great meal!

The best food and drinks, served and cooked by the best people. Fantastic entrees, amazing deserts and awesome cocktails. It’s my local for a reason.
