This place is a gem! Amazing food and friendly service with huge portions. The meatloaf was incredible, and the cheesy homemade Mac and cheese, fried cabbage, and fried corn were all delicious. Don't leave without trying their coconut sweet tea – it's amazing! Highly recommend!

We finally had a chance to eat at 4J’s this evening. We had fried fish, homemade fries, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Everything was delicious. The owners were super friendly. This is a great place to eat good old fashioned home cooking. If you haven’t tried them, you are missing out!

Do y’all have a new phone number ? We wanted to know if the restaurant accommodates 20 to 25 people. My family was talking about coming December 28th for Christmas get together

Feed your body but nourish your soul. We had oxtails, king ranch chicken, turnip greens, Mac and cheese, smothered pork chops and coconut tea. Everything was delicious especially the oxtails. The banana pudding we took home was probably the best I’ve had. Ricky was a great host. I definitely will be back.

A hidden family gem. The daily special had a choice of smothered pork chops and chicken, cornbread stuffing, three veggies and a roll. The pork chops just melted in your mouth. The stuffing was the perfect level of moist. I am not usually a fan of cabbage but this was so good that I skipped the other veggies. The portions are more than generous and the price was very reasonable.

This place serves terrific down-home soul food cooking and their integrity can be tasted through their food and seasonings. I highly recommend this family restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food. They recently catered for a Ramadan Eid Celebration and the food was so good that the people were already planning the next celebration with them. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants some good cooking.

4J is at the TOP of our favorite places to eat in East Texas. I do my happy dance when I'm there. The owners are always pleasant and courteous. Food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious!!! Can't forget the coconut sweet tea! ?
