Yesterday we visited Cotton Patch not knowing what to expect. We travel the country visiting different festivals so we have eaten in places from one extreme to another. This was our first experience with Cotton Patch but we will definitely stop when we come upon another one. Our waitress Franka was so sweet & thoughtful, she kept our drinks full, answered questions about the town, and when it was time to go she thanked us for having lunch with her and told us to have a blessed day and safe travels. Our food was amazing, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Even with as busy as they were Franka had our food out within minutes of our ordering, that shows how well the kitchen staff does their job! Our only regret is that we didnt have the Peach Cobbler that our waitress assured us was "to live for" we were just to full!

The quality of the food has really gone down since they moved to the new location.

The service was amazing. The rolls and always hot and delicious. (I love bread) The fried mushrooms were perfect. I'm not sure how they make the jalapeno gravy that was on my chicken fried steak, but I need more of it in my life. The gravy was also the perfect addition to the garlic mashed potatoes. I did not have any room for dessert.

Sometimes it's difficult to find healthy options that are not a salad. I had a delicious grilled salmon dinner and with a large variety of side options, chose broccoli and green beans. Everything was prepared perfectly! I couldn't resist the rolls which were fresh from the oven, but at least I had some vegetables and nothing was fried (although if you want fried food, they have that, too!). Would gladly eat here again.

This was our first time in the newly built restaurant. Lovely new aesthetics, both in and outside, and new friendly faces for staff.
It took a little time to get seated, and for a waitress to come greet us, but that was ok. I'm sorry, I forgot her name, but she was friendly and attentive.
We came hungry, so we were ready to order.
We decided on the beef tips and chicken fried chicken.
I order beef tips every time I go to Texas Roadhouse and Saltrgrass, and these were more like beef stew meat. And, there was only like 5 chunks in my dish :(
The chicken fried chicken was cooked perfectly! But had little to no flavor, which is okay if the mentality is to let the customer season to taste.
The sides were good; mac n cheese, broccoli rice cheese casserole; if I could kindly recommend, let the canned green beens cook a little longer in the 'bacon soup' to get rid of the canned flavor :)
But the absolute best part were those rolls!!! They were worth every carb!! :) They actually helped the rating to 4 instead of 3
We were just passing thru, but I'd be happy to stop back in and try those fried mushrooms or fried green tomatoes when we come back thru ;)

The food is okay but I would never order the chicken and dumplings again. Made with dark meat, and celery. Cracker Barrel is much better with white meat and no celery. First time I've seen celery in C&D, not good.

Favorite place to eat in Palestine, the servers are all so sweet and friendly, the service is fast, and the food is always fresh! The Chicken Fried Steak is my favorite.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options for kids, my girls love the chicken strips, mashed potatoes and macaroni.

Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramps.

I went against my better judgement because service sucked last time, well the sucky service did not disappoint it was worse. I ordered a ranch hand steak, hamburger steak and baked potato. Well the potatoe was hard as the table and the steak was burnt on bottom. That being said the fried pickles, rolls and water were good. Will not return!
