I ordered the prime rib cob salad. I asked to remove the potato strings and the bacon. It is against my religion to eat pork. My salad arrived and it looked beautiful and was loaded with pieces of steak…and bacon. I immediately told the waitress, who looked shocked and took it back. I let her know the bacon cannot simply be taken out, as the whole salad is contaminated. It came back suspiciously fast. No bacon, but about half the steak was also gone. I was starving, so I ate it, but I have a bad feeling they just picked out the bacon and most of the steak. It was good, but according to my religious beliefs, if the bacon was actually just picked out, I was therefore unclean after eating that tainted salad. I obviously don’t have any proof of it, but one could reasonably draw this conclusion. I had to eat again when I got home, because I was still hungry. Very disappointing.

That was the worst brisket sandwich I have ever had. Don't order brisket. I gave it to my dogs. Gross!

We ate at the Palestine, TX restaurant tonight. Jimmy was our waiter. He did a great job. The cook was definitely on point, too. Other servers seemed to be attentive to their tables. We hadn’t been in a long time b/c the service had been so bad before. Not sure if there is a new manager; there definitely has been a change for the better.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. TERRIBLE PLACE TO EAT. LONG WAITS. FOOD ISNT WORTH WAITING FOR. SERVERS HAVE NO IDEA ON HOW TO DO ANYTHING. 30 MINUTES JUST TO ORDER DRINKS IS UNACCEPTABLE. OUT OF ALMOST EVERYTHING. IF TRAVELING OR PASSING THRU LIKE WE WERE, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. DEFINTELY NOT WORTH IT. THERES OTHER RESTAURANTS AROUND THAT WOUKD LOVE YO HAVE YOUR MONEY AND WAIT ON YOU. SUCKY PLACE ALTOGETHER.
