Manager Matt immediately made us feel welcomed and we were treated like VIPs. Our knowledgeable server Michael answered all our questions and offered recommendations based on our preferences. The snapper en croute with lemon butter was amazing! A new dish on the menu, it made me want to happy dance. The atmosphere was warm, the decor perfect. If you’re ever near Paris, TX, make it a point to eat here!
The food was phenomenal!!! We stopped in on our way to Broken Bow and it was the best steak (New York Strip) and mashed potatoes I’ve ever had!! It beat out Cowboy Prime in Midland, TX. And it wasn’t even Wagyu! Service was great!! Only down side is it was very loud in there. Bathrooms were also, very nice!
When my friend told me she’d take me out to dinner anywhere I wanted, I jokingly suggested Paris. That morphed into a road trip from Houston to Paris, Texas and Bonfire, which turned out to be a wonderfully delightful experience. Based on reviews, BonFire in Paris, Texas is a dining establishment that offers both fine dining and unpretentious, strikingly original food. The menu is packed with amazing options, and the “off menu” specials have been divine. The food is fantastic, with every dish thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Specific meals mentioned include duck confit in a white bean and pork belly sauce, which was super crispy and tender, and a salmon steak with perfectly crisp skin. The beef tallow fries are always great. For brunch, the Pastry Board is a perfect way to sample items like a rich and decadent chocolate éclair, creative seasonal donuts, and a moist butter pecan muffin. The Crunchy Lady-Croque Madame is outstanding, and the Shrimp and Grits with creamy stone-ground grits and house-made chorizo is equally impressive. Drinks like the smoked old fashioned and a bright, bubbly Grand Mimosa are expertly crafted. The service is top of the line, with a wonderful wait staff and management that checks on the experience. The warm atmosphere is wonderful. BonFire was recently named one of Texas' Top 10 New Restaurants by Texas Monthly, and it fits perfectly into its setting while elevating everything around it.
