My kid ordered chicken strips off the kids menu and they were extremely thin. Wish I would have asked for them to be taken off the tab. I had biscuits and gravy and it was subpar. Overall wouldn't go again.

I had this red head guy for a server and he is super slow. Took 25 min to get 2 breakfast and 10 min for them just to take a drink order. Normally the service is excellent. Don't know what is going down today.

It was my first time there, and I even told the waitress it was my first time, so this plays a part in my evaluation. PROS: staff was cordial, the AC in the bathroom was nice and cool compared to the warm dining room. Coffee was good. Portion size was fair. They had Sugar Free syrup on the table (which was a deciding factor in ordering a waffle), the eggs were cooked as requested. I wasn't feeling good so I wanted something bland and the mashed potatoes and gravy hit the spot! Also, the entire menu is available all day so that is a plus. NEUTRAL: the 3.5% charge for using a credit/debit card is calculated on the price of the meal AND the sales tax combined...see copy of my receipts. CONS: There was a $1.99 up charge for sourdough toast; however, it would have been nice if that was disclosed while ordering. Now the kicker: $9.50 for ONE waffle! We ordered this after eating the main breakfast without the menu in front of us, so when we got the bill, I was beside myself. Plus, the waffle was the same quality you get at hotels that offer a free breakfast...there was nothing special about it...definitely go here if you want overpriced food.

We don't come to Pasadena much especially early enough for breakfast , but when we do we go to Pappa Yolk's because the food is good the staff is friendly and of course the decor is pretty neat too.

Parking: Parking is not the same ever day. It depends on the menu.
Always enjoyed the great hospitality as we were greeted into and exiting the door. The Hostess is our favorite, because when you walk into an establishment and get a sour greeting it makes you want to walk out. The Hostess we experienced over the last 3 years makes you feel welcomed. We have a favorite waitress who knows our regular orders and sometimes we shock her when we make a change....Thank you for your hospitality, you know who you are....trish & joe

Went by there this morning with the neighbor and had breakfast. I had a breakfast taco and biscuits and gravy. The food was very fresh and flavorful. The staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for sure.

Warm welcome received upon arrival/departure. Ordered French toast, sausage patty, orange juice, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and grits. The latter three needed salt and pepper. Owner and possibly wife stopped by table to chat and shake hands. Will be back to try other dishes.
