You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door! Decor outstanding, under lighting on bar beautiful. Employees helpful with portion sizes and menu items for first timers. Food delicious, fried items crispy but not greasy. Must try onion rings, super crunchy!

Surfing Crab – Pasadena, TX
Surfing Crab is a fantastic new seafood spot that has taken over the old Red Lobster location in Pasadena. Though it’s only been open for two weeks, it already delivers a top-tier dining experience.
The atmosphere is inviting, with a great ambiance that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed the moment you walk in. The restaurant is clean, well-decorated, and gives off a fun, laid-back seafood boil vibe.
Now, let’s talk about the food—because that’s where Surfing Crab truly shines. The seafood is fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Whether you’re a fan of crawfish, shrimp, crab, or a good seafood boil, they do it right. Portions are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
Service is another highlight. The staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring you have a great dining experience. The management team seems to have everything running smoothly, even though the restaurant is still new.
Overall, Surfing Crab is a solid addition to Pasadena’s seafood scene. If you’re looking for delicious seafood, great service, and an enjoyable dining atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out!

This location is closed now, there is a crab boil house there now in the same location. Just a heads up, if you are looking for Red Lobster this location is closed permanently.

The food they served us was nothing like the one on the menu. The way it was served was as if the leftovers from other dishes were thrown onto yours. The lobster tail on the menu appears complete and the one that was not served was half and the portions of the accompaniments were very small and poorly served. I do not recommend it at all.

Biscuits were cold and hard. Finally got food after waiting for our food. Waiter came back and asked if we got food. When we stated no, he came back with our food. My Shrimp Alfredo noodles were hard and dried along the bowl edges. Will not be returning to this location. None of our food was hot at all. Not worth the money at all.
