I love Spicy Chen!
Best Chinese food restaurant in all of Deer Park, LaPorte and Pasadena!
Food is always hot, fresh, and delicious!
And their delivery drivers are so courteous and show great appreciation.

If you are going to eat Spicy Chens order out. Don't eat in! I have been several times to dine in and it gets worse every time. The wait staff is rude and take forever to do anything. If you ask for something it seems to be an inconvenience for them. Food is great. Service is terrible.

WORST SERVICE EVER, being a woman of color to be treated like I’m not seen over other ppl in there, it’s so disheartening, I literally walked out after being walked past and my server never returning to take my order. I don’t want to say it was racism but just because I am not dressed in a plant uniform or nice clothes doesn’t mean I don’t have money! Pasadena yall have to better but Spicy Chen, I really hate your establishment is only for certain ppl. I forgive yall for the poor service and hope you do better in the future. Imagine me doing a study to see how different restaurants treat you based on your clothes and race.
Never returning but thank you!

Tried this place for lunch and was pretty disappointed. The hot and sour soup had a strange, slimy texture that made it hard to eat, and the chicken in the Hunan dish tasted off — just kind of gross and rubbery. The Kung Pao Chicken was basically just a bowl of peanuts with barely any chicken. Also, the menu descriptions are super vague, so you’re kind of guessing what you’re getting. Overall, not great. Wouldn’t go back.

This was a new place for me to try. It was totally enjoyable! Every dish was spot on! The nice thing is it's not that far from my house. Will be back next month when I'm in this area.

I enjoy the food, however the service is lacking especially if you're doing a pick up order. Nicki is very rude, quick to cut you off, quick to argue with you. We used to order here frequently but haven't been because of the service. I can get bad service and spend money just about anywhere.

They serve some of the best white rice in the area. But I cannot find their food tasty at all after eating there twice. Most of the other Asian Restaurants are opposite, their food is fantastic, but less than average rice!!!
