This place is not Tex-Mex; it is authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price. When you walk in, you might have a good chance of being the only non-native Spanish speaker. I have had friends feel out of place, but I have never had anything but good experiences in the 50+ times I have visited. The asada tacos, or torta asada are fantastic.
We like tacos done up the way you can get them in Mexico - cilantro, onions, salsa, corn tortillas, and small in size. This place delivers the goods, and with two awesome salsa choices (green tomatillo and spicy red sauce). I get the tacos plate, which comes with rice and beans, and comes with a small potato and a seriously spicy jalapeno as well. I don't need to try anything else!
Great Mexican food, from tacos to tortas quesadillas, and a couple desserts, I like this place a variety of Mexican dishes.
Saw how busy this place has been so we decided to try it - Average at Best. I ordered the fried fish plate, with tossed salad, rice. Fish came out looking great, salad looked great with tomatoes and avocado, rice was tasty. Here’s the kicker no tarter sauce and shockingly no salad dressings. I mean it was a well presented plate. Now momma’s plate was enchiladas, beans and rice. She said everything was tasty. The chip and salsa was good well except the chips were thick and cold just barely room temp. I have a problem with restaurants that don’t fry their own house chips. No we won’t be back but do encourage everyone to give them a try. Retired Chef Gene
Have been here several times with family- nice selection. We usually go for lunch and have discovered the tortas. Delicious!! They also have wonderful breakfast tacos. Two kinds of homemade salsa to choose from- love the green sauce.
We have been here before. The first time was delicious! This time it was good. Our one complaint, and it may be this time only, was the meat was very dry. We both got the taco plate. The chicken was seasoned well but very dry! We will be back, but worth noting.
We originally were going to stop somewhere else but they were closed. Good thing otherwise we wouldn’t have stopped here! It’s authentic Mexican food and it’s cheap!! I had their flautas. Exactly like I would’ve made at home. They were delicious!! Love that they had a super hot salsa to go with it!! My mom liked them also and she’s super picky!!!

It was great to find Mexican food that tasted good close to my Residence Inn hotel at I35. I ate here three times in a month. It is clean, fast food counter order system, friendly people, will custom make your desires. It is quick but not fast food. I like the soft shell tacos and bean and beef burrito. Great home made lemonade. The down side was the prices. About 35% higher than my local Colorado Mexican food places.
If you are looking for real authentic Mexican food that La Raza would approve of this is the place! Great food, service, and prices are the same as some lame burger joint. The menu is in English and the people who take your order are bilingual. Which is a good sign but if you like Taco Bell this is not the place for you Mexicans do not eat Taco Bell.
Was sent here by local hotel clerk and they were right. Great little inexpensive place with great prices and clean.
I am hopelessly addicted to their barbacoa tacos. You get them just like in Monterrey, NL, Mexico - dressed with cilantro, onion, lime, and salsa in all their greasy perfection. My folks love the chicken stuffed chile relleno. Their food is authentic and pleasing to my husband, who is from Monterrey. It's not much to look at from the outside but don't let that stop you. I am always glad when they are busy because this is one of my favorite restaurants and I hope they stick around a long time!
My daughter and I wandered into this restaurant from the hotel next door. We didn't we didn't expect much of it mostly because of the location and look from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the food. It was very tasty and on par with other great Mexican food restaurants we have visited. The down side was that the servings were rather small and the price point similar to restaurants with healthier portions. Aside from the small portion, I would definitely return.
