Not going to lie I used to LOVE BurgerTex. When I was dating in the early 2000s this was a staple for Friday / Saturday nights, they rivaled Fuddrukers with a similar cheese sauce. The original owner is such a sweet lady.My go to was the Philly Cheese steak burger. It would be a round patty of shredded beef, it was filling and hit the spot!I have since moved to the far side of Pearland and have plentyyyy of options but I decided to cross 35 and get a burger.I must say I was disappointed. My Philly burger was more bread and cheese than meat. It definitely was not the same meat or onions and peppers, the cheese sauce is now by request. I usually load my burger with veggies and condiments and cut it in half. I look at the split and the meat is non-existentIt looks like they are in the midsts of shrinkflation and have adjusted their product. The atmosphere needs some updating and with so many options I hope they aren’t subject to the fate of many mom and pop food spots; same price with less quality. In the beginning the bigggggggest draw for me was the quality, the ice cream display, cheese and overall fresh and new atmosphere. The location does look run down as well, my family and I used to come a few times a year but saw the slow decline.With the Philly cheese steak completely changed I don’t see myself coming back.I wish them the best and hope they turn it around.

Went in today at 12:44, no one at the counter, about 10 customers at tables. Walked around front about 10 minutes. One person walked out of the back looked at me never spoke walked passed me.So I walked out will not return, very poor customer service, maybe they don't serve older white men??? 3-8-2024.What's wrong with you people???

Found myself in Pearland after visiting the space center and we stopped here out of curiosity.Reason being, there’s a location in Houston on Eldridge that my family has been going to since before I was born.Apparently this location and that one are the same as they are family owned and I couldn’t be happier.The burgers taste exactly the same and the experience is the same as the Eldridge location.That’s to say these are the best burgers I’ve ever had. It’s your classic American burger with fresh toppings at your disposal.This is a must try place for burgers and would 110% urge to try it at least once.
