I was excited about the vegan and vegetarian options, and even more excited to see the nopalitos tacos. I love nopal. I ordered flour tortillas and got corn... and the nopal was pickled and canned! It was a corn and pickle taco for $18. NOT FRESH, NOT EVEN COOKED. My husband hated the guacamole which was less than a half portion and wasn't seasoned. It's clear the extremely high prices go to the atmosphere and bar, not the food or service. There's a great Mexican place in Friendswood called Lunas that has better vegan and vegetarian options for less than half the cost and just as good of an atmosphere and bar! If you're plant based, you do NOT have to be limited to an $18 sour taco that came from a can. Go to Friendswood and get an entire sizzling platter of FRESH vegetable fajitas with ALL the sides and fixings for LESS than $18!

Our church small group had a great time at Emma’s Mex Grill. Food was delicious, service was great and they even went the extra mile to get my daughter some ice cream. It’s a family friendly environment and their parilladas are delicious. We especially love their beans with chorizo.

The service was mediocre due to the waitress hardly ever checked up on us and we had to waive for her more than once and there restaurant was half empty. Their mole enchiladas were not that great specially because they were made with small cuts of cold chicken fajita instead of hot shredded chicken and their salsas were horrible! They tasted like tomato sauce with no spices at all. Definitely one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever been in and will not be returning again.

Everything about this restaurant is amazing to great service to amazing mouth watering food I've tried about half of the menu and so far nothing has disappointed me or my family. And if you are just looking for a place to hang out with friends, bf, or gf they have a beautiful bar with amazing delicious drinks to have a good time with your partners all the mixes for the bar drinks are freshly and organic made every day by the bartenders and you can tell as soon as you take the first sip Definitely would recommend.

Me and my mom really enjoyed the food here! Their strawberry tres leches cake is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was very bright and nice to look at. Our waiter was very engaging and nice. The food came out quickly. 10/10 would visit again.

My husband and I just left Emma's and the experience was not good. I ordered the taco salad with chicken and my husband ordered a burrito. When the food was brought out I was told they did not have any ranch dressing. The offered Italian and blue cheese. I asked them to box it and I will take it home and use my own Ranch dressing. My husband said his burrito was burnt on the bottom and he basically ate around the burnt area. When I got home and went to put my salad into a bowl I found remnants of refried beans on the inside of the container and on the bottom. There were no refried beans in my Salas. I literally think they put my salad into a used container. I am now completely grossed out and threw it away.We used to be regulars here about 2 years ago and we quit going because food quality had gone downhill. Tonight my husband said let's give Emma's another try. Well, that was a mistake. I think it got worse. We won't be back.

Someone had recommended Cochinita so I had to come try it. It was decent, not bad, maybe a bit better than Okay. Service was poor, had to be hunting the waitress and even asked other workers to flag her down several times. The kids menu is very limited. The place is not expensive but it is over priced. My daughter ordered the kids nachos it was literally one (yes one) tortilla with beans and cheese... For nine dollars... They charge extra to pay with a debit/credit card... For the same price range I'd rather keep going back to a steak house...Kid-friendliness: Menu is NOT very kid-friendly

Food was ok.. we ordered the Pescado Maya which was supposed to be red snapper, but absolutely was Tilapia. Pointed it out to the server and she just said, I put it in as the Pecado Maya... which may be true, but they didn't send out red snapper and instead substituted it with tilapia.Had plenty of both and know the difference.. loved the mojito but the ice cubes were so large and packed in, took about three sips and it was all gone.. definitely didn't get our bang for the buck.. Not likely to go back when obviously cutting corners to get 4 extra dollars out of a menu item or watering down an 11 dollar mojito. Service was good, just think the kitchen was working hard at trying to pinch pennies at the customers expense.

Went on a recommendation and not what I expected.1. Green enchiladas were very good. Rice and beans were also good. Carnitas were ok.2. Mexican martini was really only lime juice with salt. No spiciness and no alcohol.3. Service is mediocre. Waiter asked for our drink order and I asked for water. Didn't even ask my husband, just brought him water also.4. Only saw waiter when taking drink and food orders, dropping off drinks and food, and leaving the check.
