Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant

You just can’t beat the quality of Tex-Mex restaurants in South Texas. I hesitate to eat this kind of food anyplace else because Texas just sets the bar so high.The fajitas are the best at El Tiempo & Lupe but Lupe gets the slight edge due to their tasty lime juice marinade. So good. Great margaritas too. We hit the Pearland location as a work team on the regular for lunch and Lupe never disappoints. The Pearland location is undergoing some major renovations at the moment but they are still open for business and it will be worth the wait when they’re able to open their brand new enlarged outdoor patio.

I have ate at many locations of Lupe Tortilla and this by far has been the worst experience ever! They got my order completely wrong due to the kids they are hiring to serve and take orders do not want to be at work and it shows.

The manager did try to make the order right but I left and when I got in my truck not even 2min later my food was extremely cold. Not to mention I arrived in 10 mins after ordering and was waiting for my food.
I will be disputing with my bank.

I've been a regular customer for a while now and always look forward to seeing Logan, the bartender. She is always so attentive and respectful. I honestly believe that Lupe wouldn't be the place it is today without her. Whatever she is being paid isn't enough for the work she does.

I cannot say enough great things about our experience at the Lupe Tortilla in Pearland! Every time we come in, Manager JoJo and Bartender Logan go ABOVE and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of.

JoJo is truly one of the best managers I’ve ever encountered in the restaurant industry—professional, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest has a great time. You can tell he leads by example, and the atmosphere of the whole restaurant reflects that. He remembers guests, checks in with a smile, and always ensures things are running smoothly.

And Logan… hands down the BEST bartender around! Not only are her drinks consistently perfect, but her personality makes the entire bar feel like the place to be. Friendly, funny, super attentive, and just genuinely great at what her does. She’s the type of bartender that makes you want to come back just to sit at her bar. Every drink is 10/10 and she makes the whole experience memorable.

Lupe Tortilla Pearland is lucky to have such an incredible team. Thank you JoJo and Logan for always making our nights here amazing — y’all are the reason we keep coming back! 🌮🍹🤍

Joseph an employee from this restaurant has excellent customer service!! I came in as an uber eats driver, and Joseph treated me like I was the actual customer. That's rare now days, and speaks volumes about his character!! The wait for a customers order just so happen to have an extended wait time, and without even asking, Joseph offered me chips, beans, salsa, and a drink! 🤯 Shout out to Joseph! For having some of the greatest customer service I have ever experienced, and I wasn't even a customer. I love the friendly atmosphere of this restaurant, I will be bringing my two children here next weekend. And with great people like Joseph, I'm sure we are going to really enjoy. ❤️

This has become one of my most favorite restaurants now. Being vegetarian, there are some great options on the menu. The food was delicious, ambience was good and service was awesome, special mention to Cam for his service!!

This was a nice placed to catch lunch. It has a sports bar atmosphere TV, bar area). Staff is patient and professional. A waiter accidentally hit my chair, he apologized every time he passed. I had red chicken enchiladas and they were good. The chicken needed a little more seasoning (just me). My husband had the chicken nachos and the presentation was impressive. I'll go back.

Was in the mood for some fajitas or a steak, was thinking either saltgrass or Lupe. Decided to give Lupe a shot since it’s been a long time. There was no wait when I arrived and seated immediately. Waiter came by and seemed too eager to push the fajitas. So much so that he said other items on the menu were taking longer since one of their ovens was out of order. I could understand the need to push other items if that is the case. Don’t want a bottleneck in the kitchen. After trying to decide I asked the waiter if I could get a fajita taco a la carte on top of my order of steak and enchiladas. He went off to put in the order very quickly. So much so I was unsure if he knew I wanted my steak medium since he didn’t even ask. While waiting I caught my waiter as he made rounds to verify that my steak would be cooked med. he assured me that they shoot for medium rare-medium with all the meat. I felt like there wouldn’t be a problem. My taco arrived and it was delicious. After I finished up I was waiting for the rest of the order, the waiter asked if I would like a dessert or something else to which I responded I was saving room for the rest of my order. He said he misunderstood my order and that he only took my taco order. That he was very sorry and put a rush on the rest of the order. I waited for about an hour to receive the food. The plate was sizzling hot when I cut into the steak It was very medium in the middle but it lacked seasoning. I could tell when I received the plate that it didn’t have any seasoning on the crust so I asked for salt and pepper immediately. But it was very bland even though it was bacon wrapped. I asked for some lime butter on the side to help it out. He said he would come back with that asap. While waiting one of the managers came by and asked if everything was good, I told him what was wrong and he offered to go get me the butter while I was sitting but thought my waiter would return faster than what actually happened. It took him longer than expected because he went to bring a drink refill to the table next to me, while my steak continued to cook on the cast iron. After he left and came back with the lime butter I was still left unsatisfied because the steak was very grainy and dry. Which threw me off since it was still pink but figuring there was a rush on the steak it didn’t have time to rest for the juices to be reabsorbed. Afterwards all that wait I just was over the Lupe experience and wanted to go. As my waiter brought the check I asked for the manager, to see what they could do to make things right with the quality of the food. He came by and really wanted to reassure me by apologizing (albeit very smugly and in a condescending way) that they strive to make every meal with their best effort. Again he really wanted to say that their fajitas were what they were known for and that I should get the fajitas next time, even though I did get the fajita taco. He mentioned that he would comp me my drink to make things right. As a chef I know I would never send out a subpar meal if it didn’t meet my own personal standard. Sadly this place doesn’t have the same ethos, just fajitas and only fajitas.

I had such a wonderful experience at Lupe Tortilla! Kaitlyn and Logan provided amazing service and were incredibly attentive to me and all the other guests at the bar. Kaitlyn had excellent recommendations and helped my husband and I try plenty of delicious dishes we might not have picked on our own. The manager, Joseph, even came out personally to check on us and make sure everything was perfect. Between the welcoming atmosphere, top-tier food, and outstanding service, this visit exceeded our expectations. I’ll definitely be back again!

I normally don’t like to leave bad reviews but i order for to go and the restaurant took forever for to give me my order , this is the third time !!!!!!! like I didn’t see any manager like do their job , I really like the food but the service sucks .,I wonder why the workers seems were been focus in other things instead of their job and very slow , the employees should say in how many minutes if will take forever im very disappointed!!!!
