Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant

Love that they have a vegetarian menu. Ordered puff tacos, veggie fajitas and more here. The complementary bean dip has meat in it, FYI. Corn is always charred to a crisp. It was thoroughly burned this last visit to the point where it was inedible. Wish they had another method to cook it without burning. Great to have options and the rest of the food was quite tasty.

Walking in, the ambiance was really good! When it comes to the food, it was okay. I have been to other tex mex restaurants and cant help but compare. It's still a good restaurant to try out. But would I come back? Probably not.

Christian should NOT be taking to-go orders. You will save yourself about 10min if you just place the order online. He does not understand the menu and it’s horrifically slow. If you are in front of him he will remain on the phone. Terrible customer service. I did like this place until this experience.

I ordered a lunch burrito and tres leches cake. First they didn't give me any silverware, so I had to eat it with my hands. That first bit seemed like a tasteless blob. I ordered the lunch burrito and to my surprise they gave me unseasoned grounded beef instead of fajita beef. As for the tres leches cake, they have a WAY better one at HEB, and it's cheaper too. Very overrated.

Family and I have been going here for a while. We had a problem getting seated in the banquet room at the front. We were told the room was first come first serve. However, when we pointed that out, we were then told that the room was reserved by their boss, a Lupe Tortilla District Manager. Now I tried not to say it was racism, but I see another customer posting on this site saying just that, so yes I support that customer’s statement. Not only is this location racist but unclean. On this visit a hair was found in the salsa. Manger did give some credit off the bill. The worst part was my take home enchiladas meal. The refried beans and rice were all mixed together. It made me think that the 2 items had been scraped off a used plate. Do I think it was deliberately done, Yes I Do!
Not ever eating there again.

Great selection of margaritas. Tacos could have had more beef; they were filled with cheese and tomato, but needed more beef. My wife had chicken fajita and she said it was really good.

Haven't visited Lupe in years. The food was as good as I last recalled, and the service was great. My son was able to order brunch, and they did not disappoint! The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Staff and management were kind and attentive.
