Ordered whole chicken, very tasty chicken but too bad the sauces were not good at all ,very bland, the “spicy” red sauce tasted sweet. Only thing missing some good sauces.

My wife had been wanting to eat some peruvian pollo a la brasa for while and I took her and some family members to pollo bravo. My wife, who is originally from Peru, was kind of hesitant to eat at pollo bravo because she felt it was not authentic. I told her let’s give it a try. We ordered the whole chicken with two sides, lomo saltado, some fried maduros, arroz chaufa, two pisco sour’s, a beer, Inca cola and chicha morada. Her and my daughter’s take on the pollo a la braza was it okay. She said it needed more seasoning and she felt that it was comparable to the roasted chicken you buy at H-E-B. The arroz chaufa I did not like. I was over cooked and not stir fried like what real stir fry rice should be. The salchipapas was excellent, the salad was a really good addition. The maduros we liked them a lot that we ordered a second serving, the lomo saltado my wife said was good but needed ginger. Overall my family enjoyed the food. My daughter who loves pollo a la brasa and has eaten it in place like Lima, Trujillo, Iquitos, Arequipa, and cajamarca Peru gave it a 4 out of 10. She said wasn’t as good as Peru.

This is my only second Peruvian restaurant I’ve gone to in Houston. I do like that it’s a fusion between Mexican and Peruvian. Has its own style. All the dishes I had were incredible, including the Aguadito de pollo and el pollo Asasdo but what I think really stands aside is their unique sauces. A sweet mango sauce and a delicious green sauce. Give it a try. Best of both worlds.

Tried the “pollo bravo” at this chicken place, honestly it was disappointing and just blah.
It’s basically rotisserie chicken that tastes ok. Beans taste ok. Rice tasted kind of shrimpy. Green spicy sauce tasted like salad dressing.
NO TORTILLAS!!! What???!!! I didn’t know Peruvians don’t eat tortillas with their rotisserie chicken.
I have been thinking about trying this place every time I drive through Pearland.
Should’ve gone where I always go in Pearland.
Restaurant is nice and colorful and clean.
Service was ok.
Needless to say I will not be back. Sorry

I love Peruvian food so much! Being from New York, our go to spot is Pio Pio and since I’ve been in Houston I’ve been craving good Peruvian food. I came across this restaurant in Pearland and after seeing the green sauce on the menu I knew I was missing off to a good start. I got my usual chicken, rice and beans and everything was just so delicious! I think I found this restaurant like 2 weeks ago and I have ordered takeout at least 4 times and one being for family who was visiting. That’s when I first tried the salad. The dressing is delicious! Staff is always friendly.
I would recommend eating here for sure!

This place looks very nice the food was delicious and the staff here treated me so well i definitely recommend this place
Lomo Saltado - beef wa tasty but extremely tough. After 3 bites with me just chewing & chewing and then spitting out the pieces, I asked for chicken. This was good but to the waitress asked me if I wanted the beef meal boxed to go to which I responded no. She then told me that I might as well take because she could not “discount” my ticket and I would have to pay for it anyway. I was totally shocked- didn’t come for a free meal, I came for good food. She bought the meal with chicken and it was good, but the more I thought about having to pay for bad meal that I didn’t eat, well I had to say something. We had a discussion on this and she continued to say that she was just a server a this was out of her hands. I told her I would pay but would not be back and that I would like to speak to her manager. No manager on duty, so I asked if I could speak to them on the phone. A few minutes later she brought a revised ticket back and the Lomo Saltado was removed. Too much ado about something that should have been a simple fix . The chicken & rice & beans were good, but due to the shoe leather beef and the embarrassing discussion at the table, cannot recommend this restaurant at this time.
