I just moved from around the corner of the Katy location (the best one) to south Houston. I tried out the Pearland location for a second time since it was closer, as the first experience was underwhelming 2 years ago. Should’ve never circled back! On top of the rude white waitress, them opening 3 hours late —that they blamed it on a schedule mix up, I got VERY BAD FOOD POISONING !! I think it was from either the shrimp or filet mignon. Both my friend & I who went were sick. And yes, I’m SURE it was from there bc I ate 2 pieces of chicken later with 5 friends & no one else got sick.
5 days later I come back to the area & pass by, the doors were locked at 6:30pm & all the sign were off the doors except their B rating .

I used to love this restaurant, but unfortunately, it has really gone downhill over the years. This recent visit was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
We waited over an hour for the hibachi chef to even come to the grill, and it took about 30 minutes just to receive our drinks. On top of that, we had to ask for basic items like our soup and salad, which should have been brought out automatically.
When the food finally arrived, it didn’t improve the experience. Our order was made incorrectly, the steak was tough despite being ordered medium, and the shrimp was overcooked and hard. Even the rice was unappetizing, and the drinks were watered down.
Overall, it felt like a complete waste of both time and money. Really disappointing, especially considering how much I used to enjoy coming here.

This location needs serious makeover this was our 1st tome here and last time we usually go to Vintage Park location
This location has walls peeling off and very dirty hoods and floors the ac vents on ceiling are rusted and was dripping water on me they did move me but even the chairs are very old
The food was so so not very good the dipping sauces were very watery and soup was not hot
They moved us 3 times and had no ingredients to make a Bloody Mary
Bartender was dressed inappropriately like she should be working at a state fair
Will not be returning

We had a good time overall at Shogun Hibachi Grill and Sushi. The chef wasn’t the best hibachi chef we’ve had, but he did a decent job and listened when we asked for our vegetables to be well done, which we appreciated. The food was fine—good, but nothing particularly memorable.
The restaurant was clean, well designed, and well lit, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The prices were also reasonable, which was a nice surprise.
That said, it wasn’t memorable enough for us to feel the need to come back. We were also surprised that they don’t offer hot tea and that there are no sauce options for the hibachi—just one standard sauce, with no teriyaki or alternatives. The sauce was okay, but not something that stood out.
Overall, a pleasant experience with fair prices and good service, just not a place we’d go out of our way to return to.

Service was fine, but the food wasn’t very good. We had sushi, not hibachi, and none of the fish tasted fresh. It was much more heavily rice than fish on most of the rolls we ordered. I’ve had better grocery store sushi.

Delicious teppanyaki! I came across this restaurant while traveling in Houston and thought it was amazing! I went twice — the first time for teppanyaki, and the chef was really fun and even did a little performance! The prices were also very reasonable. The second time I had sushi, which was also great!

Stay away from this place. The poor waiter is doing everything — bartender, host, server, even cook. The place is completely dead and honestly needs to close down. The food was just okay; the only good part was the hibachi cook who actually did a great job. Other than that, it’s not worth your time or money.

First off , let me say that they were bothered that we wanted to do the hibachi instead of sit at a regular table because it was only three of us. Everything was fine at first. Then all of a sudden, while we were eating roaches started coming out at first we didn't think it was a roach, we were unsure, and then 2 of them crawled on our table, we were able to get a picture of it. At that point we asked for the manager he never came. So I walked over to him showed him the picture of the roach that was on the table, even the waiter, seeing the roach on the table and swiped it on the floor and killed it. And then came back and apologized profusely. At that point, the manager said that he would comp my meal but he was only able to give my other two guests , fifty percent off after having to dine with roaches and your waiter , having to kill them , you should have compensated that whole meal very disappointed in how he handled the situation will never go back again.
