The steak and shake in Pearland is closed. A new restaurant is taking its place.

This place has definitely gone down hill. I remember when they first opened in Pearland and how people loved them, but now, its the complete opposite. I love the decor and old diner feel, but that is not enough to keep customers coming. Just like many food establishments in Pearland, customer service is seriously lacking. If they work on that, maybe the wait times wouldn't be so bad. Speaking of wait times, do not go to the drive through because it is always backed up and slow. I like their style of burgers. They lack in size, but the price reflects that. This is one of the Pearland spots that I actively avoid at all costs!

This place is nasty a worker was eating the kitchen by drive thru window.A worker was sitting in her car eating her own boogers my kids was just sitting and laughing at her. I took a picture of the worker they have no mask on and just nasty.

Employees need a re-evaluation on how to pack the food because it is unpresentable. We ordered the #2 and they looked completely smushed, and one with everything we asked to be taken off. They also forgot to give us our apple juice for kids meal, and our large drink.

I've never left a comment on yelp before but this place is absolutely ridiculous! I got to the drive thru at 9:55pm. Online it says it closes at 11. Anyways, no one gets back to me on the drive thru and there was a car waiting behind me so I called Steak 'n Shake and of course no answer. Oh and while I was driving to the drive thru I saw two employees look at me. Anyways, so I get to the cashier window and had to honk twice. By the time they got out it was 10:01 and she starts telling me they close at 10 I was like ok u didn't update ur time online that's cool but I came in at 9:55. I waited for 4 mins trying to get a hold of you guys and you'd don't reply (they probably thought we'll just stalk her for a few mins and it'll be time to close). She proceeds to tell me she didn't hear me. I was like ok let me talk to ur manager. The manager comes over and says I had my head set on too and I didn't hear you. At this point I was pretty pissed bc I had family waiting for dinner from here. I was like ok so are you saying I'm lying? Bc there was a car behind me and I even called you . The WORST customer service. They don't care about their customers and this so the second time this has happened to me! (Came in hours before closing and they told me they can't serve me milkshake because it has been "slow") are you kidding?? The managers name was grace and the other girl was misty. PLEASE hire efficient people who actually care about their customers instead of STALLING them until close time bc they are too lazy to do their job!!!!

I know that pictures are perfect when advertising, but I think we should get what we think we are ordering. Where is my chocolate drizzle and cherry???

I suggest they have adequate staff for dinner. It took almost 15 minutes to place our order, then was served 18 minutes later. Disappointed.

The waitress was not great. She forgot that my husband ordered the seasoned fries so she took his plate and then brought it back with the same fries but she had sprinkled some seasoning on it. Not our understanding of what seasoned fries are and we could have done that ourselves. We ordered shakes with our burger and fries and she didn’t bring the shakes until we were done eating. Some people may want it that way but she should have asked instead of assume. Then, the Nutella flavored shake looked nothing like the picture. I understand pics are perfected but this shake didn’t even have the chocolate icing drizzle and the cherry on top. I know that sounds picky but I believe that the pictures should represent what we are actually ordering.
Very nice people. Clean location and food is good. Very reasonably priced food as well.

Not the best location to stop by and eat. Disappointed that the place was very dirty as soon as you walk in. Floors had fries, and spills let alone as soon as you walk in floor is sticky. Stood at door and was asked to be seated minutes later. Sat down at a booth with a spill next to it. Booth and table both sticky. Sat at table for 20 minutes before being acknowledged. Sad to say that my 2 kids under 10 both said "lets promise to never stop here again". Oh and ketchup was very bad, it had an awful flavor.

I love everything about steak n shake, but this exact location and employees is trash. Tried to get a shake as well and was told they don't have them at this location??? I would not recommend anyone wasting time here. Go to any other location.
