The food was so good. I had the sliders, they were hot, fresh and flavor in every bite. The grilled onions were perfect and even the pickle was crispy. The touch of parm cheese on top added to the sweet toasted bun. I had sweet potatoe fries and the added bonus was a Tequila strawberry lemon drop made by the chef. Outside of food customer service was great. I didn't know what i wanted and the young man at the counter helped me make a good selection. Idk why Playlist they had going bt the music selection was on point jamming 90s R&B......only thing that wld have made this experience better is sitting on the patio!

Let me tell you that lobster gripper, grilled chicken pita and those peach cobbler tacos.. Is a must try .. Definitely will do more business lunches here... Went in for a late night meal at 8:45 pm.They close at 9. I was met with a warm welcome from smiling staff. That was nice.I was not rushed and dined in because I just couldn't wait to get home and try everything. I was undecided, but Tony helped me decide and even made a special order of the sliders with one fish and one chicken. I ordered the Parmesan fries also.For the drink, l asked for a drink with Tequila and Tony did his thing. The presentation was perfect, the food taste was PHENOMENAL, the service was EXCEPTIONAL! I would give this place 10 s if I could. I always show patronage to black owned businesses, but this experience was my pleasure! The owners are so pleasant, accommodating, and provide top notch service! To top it off, the food is Stellar! I am so happy The Gripper Kitchen is in my area and I hope this will become a staple for great food in the Greater Houston/ Pearland area.

The food was superb. We had an assortment of entrees and I couldn’t pick a favorite. My 3 year old grandson chanted “I want tacos”. Chef Tony overheard him and made him tacos. It wasn’t even taco Tuesday. I will be definitely be back.
The catfish was absolutely delicious! Fried To Perfection! The flavor was exactly what I was looking for, it tasted like I was home.

I loved the original Gripper! I’m big on heavy sauce on my sandwiches and I love spicy foods. I always have to ask for more sauce at other places but this sandwich had the perfect amount. The chicken was tender and the right amount of spice. The Garlic Parm seasoned fries were a great addition as well. This was a great lunch and satisfied my taste buds.

Today was my first time going to Grippers. We were greeted by a polite young man that took our order and payment, but the young lady that works there definitely needs more training on her customer service skills. I’ve never been so humiliated in a restaurant like I was today. I’m 63 years old and my friend is 64. After finishing our meal I put my used napkins on the tray the food came out on, and was getting ready to stand the young lady with the gold high lights in her hair said to us “don’t forget to throw your trash away “. We didn’t need to be told to throw our trash away. If we had intended on leaving it we never would’ve gathered it on the tray the food came out on. I didn’t even get a chance to stand to my feet when she said that. I will not dine in there again.

The customer service by the chef/owner was amazing, the restaurant was very clean, the food came out pretty quick and tasted pretty good. My mom usually doesn’t finish her food when she goes places, but she did this time. She had the catfish sandwich and a side of onion rings. I had the classic chicken sandwich. Both were good. We will be back and would recommend to others.
