Honestly the worst jambalaya I've ever had. Also extremely small portion to be a meal Bowl. Not to mention the drive thru took a long time just for the food to be cold so you know they are just making a big batch and scooping it out. You are better off getting a box of Zatarain's and some chicken thighs. So terribly salty and the chicken is literally deep brown. I also got the boudain balls which weren't horrible but I can tell they just fry some frozen ones. I have literally had better jambalaya off the side of the road. I was trying to not spend too much money on dinner tonight but now I'll be spending double getting something else to eat.

The chicken n sausage gumbo was good. The meat pie was very good. The three tiny crawfish pies were just as good. The fried boudin balls were very tasty. We visited with a lady that was the owner and or manager and she told us the pies were made for them by a lady in New Orleans.....we'll come back for more goodies. The nice lady brought us a sample of the jambalaya.....vey nice of her and tasty.

The service was great. The chicken and sausage gumbo and jambalaya were very good. I was hesitant about coming because of previous reviews but my husband really wanted to give them a try. I'm glad we did.

The food was so much better than I expected. The cashier helped to offer examples of the Pastalaya vs the Jambalaya but BOTH are exquisite. Comparable to the food I've had in Lousiana. Their gumbo is nice. Chicken is tender. Crawfish pies are amazing. Even the salad combined with eating my food was perfect. Amazing hidden gem in the middle of Pearland. Wow.

Really nice place; I loved the team at the ordering counter!!! The crawfish pies were my favorite - I definitely should have ordered more. The gumbo was a little bit overpowering, not sure what gave it that flavor - possibly over done chicken or sausage. I really like the amount of food you get with the combo, for the amount of money paid. I would like to come back to the restaurant to try the SEAFOOD gumbo and see if I like that better. My rating is strictly for my experience - GREAT customer service!!!!

Friendly staff, amazing customer service. No long waits for great quality Jambalaya. They have a decent variety of sides items to choose from also. Another bonus for those who are a fan of social media star stalekracker he often visits individual franchises, My first time i went to try teh food he was there and i got to meet him. Another bonus is that the seasoning that he sells called the Cajun 2 Step is available for purchase through the restuarant.

To be honest for this being a brand new they needed to be more on point. They are very slowly getting the food out from the restaurant was not very full. Then my food came out lukewarm. I will give them a second try just to say I'll report back on.

Why do I come here to vent? Maybe I need to make some good reviews to even out all my bad ones but to me, the bad is much more important, the bad tells you the truth, no sugar coating, no, loyalty, just naked truth. If you want that, read on. Went to the Jambalaya shoppe in Pearland on a recent visit to Houston. I'm a Kentucky boy, we do things like put cinnamon in chili and mint in bourbon but I LOVE Cajun food, all of it. We have a place in Lexington called Gumbo Yaya cooked by a real life Cajun who relocated. Amazeballs!!! Eat there every chance I get, Ive had Cajun food in New Orleans, also excellent everywhere I've been. So I'm no stranger to Cajun food. So when I saw where Stalekracker was going to be at this joint and I had a morning to kill I thought, "what do I have to lose?" Turns out, my opinion of Cajun food in Texas was what I had to lose. The meet n greet with StaleKracker went fine, bought some of his 2 step spice, shook his hand, got a pic then headed inside the little restaurant to place my order. Lots of people inside enthusiastically eating and having fun, that's a good sign, also a good sign is the employees quickly moving around. Stepped up and placed my order, I got the almost 13 dollar pastalaya plate, my companion got the seafood gumbo. He'd had some great seafood gumbo in Galveston earlier in the week and thought he'd give this one a try. So first thing, the place ran out of food. Literally. How to I know? Because we sat for 45 minutes after ordering, the manager assuring us that ours would be up soon a few times, just to keep us on the hook. Finally I stopped an employee and told them I'd need my money back if our food wasn't out in 5 minutes. They went in the back then came back out and asked for my receipt, telling me without telling me, they didn't have our order in the back. You know, I could live with that. I could let that slide, bring some bomb food out with a smile on your face, who cares how long I have to wait. When old dude brought the food out, he had a smile on his face, but I couldn't see why. I wish I'd taken pics but y'all, this crap was so sad. Like, how did the person who plated this up ever look at it and think, "damn can't wait till somebody gets to taste this". But by now I had a hole in my belly the size of the Sam Houston beltway and I'd use this very, very morose plate of noodles with 2 tiny pieces of chicken inside to fill it. The flavor wasn't bad per se, just non existent. That's where the 1 Star is coming from, although zero heat and zero spice, it was at least salty, zero flavor profile, salt. That's it. Serving size was horrid, 13 bucks for about 1/4 of a meal on a tiny cheap styrofoam plate. The meat pies were limp, contained a thimble full of questionable orange filling and were the size of your thumb, more like mini ravioli. They tasted, I mean, not great but ok and really not the most appetizing look. The pastalaya was the saddest thing I've ever seen, a nice baby poo brown color, zero sausage, two little pieces of burnt chicken. Holy trinity? Hahaha. Not a speck. The pope garlic? Bahaha. None whatsoever. Nothing of noteworthy taste in this pastalaya except what might have been a couple of old ramen noodle spice packs by the taste of it. I paid for this crap people!! The entire plate of food probably cost 15 cents in supplies. Seriously. They must be making a fortune. My buddy's seafood gumbo was the second saddest thing I'd seen all day, again, a consistent shade of drab brown, extra slimy texture, about the consistency of elmers glue. There were shrimp in there, they were the size of your pinky nail and zero taste, we counted 4. He took a couple of bites and pushed it aside, I tried it and pushed it aside. The people who had been waiting in line near us for 30 plus minutes JUST to place an order, asked how it was. We both just shook our heads. "Save yourselves" I said but I didn't want to cause trouble. I didn't want to as

We sat here for 2 hours and never got our food. It took over an hour to get appetizers and when we finally got them they didn't even taste good. The chicken Cracklin's were super dry and crunchy like week old pork grinds. You can tell they had been sitting there for hours because the meat was so dry. The people next to us had been waiting just a bit longer than us and when they got their food they said it was definitely not worth in the wait. The main reason I came was to see Stale Kracker because I thought he was going to be cooking. I was looking forward to his pastalaya. It felt like a just a good ol bait and switch. The flyer should have should have said "hosted by" We drove all the way from Katy at 6pm and just got home. It's 10:13pm. I'm super disappointed. I spent $60 on nothing, I wanted a refund but there was no one at the register. The Pastalaya looked like Lo Mien. What a waste. I wish I had a better experience.

Salty Lacie

I liked the chicken and sausage jambalaya and gumbo. The seafood gumbo didn't taste very fresh and was pretty salty. My son wasn't a fan of the chicken tenders. The staff was friendly and helpful. Disappointed the food wasn't as good as we'd hoped.

?Ordered shoppe combo 1 with Pastalaya, - I’ve never had pastalaya with spaghetti noodles.. flavor was ok but not what I was looking for. ?The salad that comes with this combo was NOT a salad but just lettuce. The small gumbo was good and gave to my husband to add to his pint order. Crawfish pies were okay, definitely have an empanada/meat pie ‘feel’ like the other poster said. ?potato salad was absolutely disgusting! I’ve never had anything like that in my life and was definitely disappointed. It was mushy like it had been blended ? ? ?chicken cracklings were AMAZING? ?Alligator bites, were delicious and better than the boudin balls?. But at $5 for three tiny balls..? ?Boudin balls were good but I’ve had better. Definitely not something I would return for. ?Chicken and sausage gumbo, was good but not great until additional seasoning were added once we got home. ?Bread pudding was good per husband. $54 and the only thing I enjoyed was the chicken cracklins and alligator bites.
