1966 I would get a dozen Tamales from the Grandmother at the factory next to the Gulf Station where I worked. Have not had such good Tamales till today when my Aunt sent several dozen from the La Nortena Tamale factory which is ran by the Grandson and Aunts...Thank you now I just need to fond Malt-o-Meal...
This place most definitely is one of the best places I’ve eaten at in Pecos. Their tamales are very authentic and delicious…. The burrito was made with real beef fajita meat and they will add whatever you want on it. And the menudo was unreal/ the flavor it has is hands down one of the best I’ve had in menudo. Lord give me strength, I’m here again…..LOL YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED STOP BY AND TRY YHIS PLACE OUT!
Let me start off by saying that this is not a dine-in place. That being said, I'm very picky when it comes to tamales. These are some of the best I've had. The spicy pork are spicy, I think the chicken were my favorite, by far. (I never thought I'd say that.) The hatch and cheese were very good also. We tasted everything prior to buying that's because the owner spoiled us the whole we were there. We tried the beef with green sauce, it's lick the bowl delicious!...
