A Hidden Gem for Authentic Nigerian Cuisine!
If you’re looking for truly authentic Nigerian food that tastes homemade, this is the place to be! I brought my in-laws here while they were visiting, and from the very first bite, they couldn’t stop raving about how incredible everything tasted. “This tastes just like home!” was a constant refrain at our table.
Despite arriving in the mid-afternoon when the restaurant was quiet, the flavors spoke volumes. Every dish we tried—five in total—was fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with rich, traditional flavors. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality, and the care put into each meal is undeniable.
Beyond the food, the experience was fantastic. The restaurant has a welcoming, no-frills ambiance, and they even have a sink in the lobby for handwashing—a thoughtful touch that speaks to the authenticity of the dining experience.
Whether you’re craving jollof rice, egusi soup, or any other Nigerian delicacy, this spot delivers in every way. Don’t let its modest location fool you—this is some of the best Nigerian food you’ll find. Highly recommend!

I tried the peanut stew with tofu and plantain fufu, and the blackeyed peas. (I think the restaurant is Nigerian.)
Disappointed customer !! Food was COLD but the plantains were hot!! The food was flavorful but overpriced for the quantity . I was charged $9 for A spoon of gravy with three pieces of Tough dry beef stew meat with fat attached when the menu stated $6. The jollof rice had 2 bones in it, priced at $15.95!! A side of warm fufu was $4. The owner refused to refund the excessive nine dollar charge. Honestly, I think they make up their own prices when it’s time to pay !😡 My bill totaled $32…Therefore, I would advise you to check the price over and over again to get a clear understanding of the charges before eating. NEVERTHELESS, I will not return to this restaurant. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I ordered the egusi with fufu and it was delicious. Not greasy yet flavorful! Out of 2 other African cuisine places I tried, which are generally closer to home, they just didn’t hit like this one. Definitely my go to spot now

I actually frequent this place and the egusi is always on point but this last time was the worst not only did I have to argue with the lady that I called in my order for the chicken egusi and pounded yam for her to only tell me I didn’t and they didn’t have anymore chicken (something told me to just go then) but the guy who is always nice gave me the beef for the same price as the chicken that they no longer had I look in the container the see the 2 small pieces got home to enjoy this troublesome dish only to discover the meat tough old and dry I understand everybody has bad days and maybe this was one of them not sure if I will be returning though!!

A first for African, a first for African Vegan food. I asked the owner’s recommendation and received a plate with black bean porridge, fried plantains, Jollof Rice and had a Zobo drink. Presentation echoed the images online. The spinach was seasoned perfectly with a kiss of heat. The rest is probably what you would expect from African cuisine. I will return to try the other Vegan options.
This has been the most consistent restaurant for African cuisine. The flavors are robust and well balanced. I love their moin moin, jollof, and okra soup which is some of the best I’ve tried in Houston. This is a no frills establishment, but the food is made with experience and pride.

Great customer service, super nice. Very clean if you want to eat inside. I LOVE that you can buy a la carte. I got jollof rice, plaintains and a side of stew. No meat. Everything was fresh and delicious. Cant wait to try more

3.5/5 authentic Nigerian food, but not the most quality. I had the akara and yam porridge with goat meat for $33.55. It was overpriced for the quality. The akara was good and fresh, but the yam was not fresh and very dried out. The goat meat was overcooked and dry and tough. The food tasted good, however. If you're looking for an intro to Nigerian food, I'd recommend coming here. However, if you're looking for quality-tasting Nigerian food, I wouldn't recommend this place.

This will be my first and last visiting this place. Their egusi is disgusting and full of Maggi. The egusi has no taste. Very watery egusi. The man took 23 dollars from me with his nasty attitude. Disgusting. I will never step my foot to this nasty restaurant again. Do yourself a favor and go to a better place.

It’s not my preferred place to get West African food. But I got some for someone else. The goat meat was tender and flavorful in a rich red sauce.
