Iron Fish Sushi & Grill

Truly a hidden gem. Best sushi in the north Austin area if not Austin area… the garlic edamame is a must. The spicy tuna roll is my favorite. Even though we came in 20 minutes before they close at 2 for lunch..we still had amazing fresh food and good service. And the lunch special is very good priced and definitely enough for two to share. WILL ALWAYS LOVE THIS PLACE !!

Food was above average for the area but the service was awful. My wife and I went and tried it and specifically brought up multiple times she had a gluten allergy. The waiter/owner acted as though he understood but then brought a dish that had a sauce on it containing gluten that we did not see initially. After my wife had a couple of pieces we noticed the sauce and asked about it and he then realized it had gluten in it. He then told us we should’ve told him before we ordered that gluten was a problem, which again we brought up our concern about gluten multiple times. He apologized but clearly didn’t understand the severity of the issue as now my wife will be sick for the next two days. The cherry on top was when he brought the check he didn’t let me look it over until I asked. He charged us for the roll even though we stopped eating it immediately and had him remove it from the table once we realized it had gluten. He then tried to defend himself saying we already ordered it and so we have to pay. He eventually realized that was not acceptable and removed it but the damage was done. We will not be coming back. If you have an allergy STAY AWAY.

A nice small sushi restaurant, what more can you ask for when all the house rolls you pick are scrumptious, the atmosphere just right and calm, and the service here is excellent as the server frequently checks in, another person asks if they can take away the empty dishes from your table. Take note that we came in at a non-busy time.
