The service will melt your heart before the food melts in your mouth. I drove out here from downtown for lunch. I'm not from the area, but this looked like an opportunity that I couldn't miss, and I am glad I didn't. Thank you for sharing your skills and passion for excellent Afghan food with the world.

This was my first time trying Afghan food, and I was blown away by the flavors and textures of the beef mantu! The side of fries was a bit small and could’ve used more salt but still hit the spot when dipped in the white sauce. The guys working were also super friendly and welcoming. Thank you for bringing this food to Austin and I will definitely be back to try the other entrees!

Our dining experience at Mealma was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. We ordered the chicken chapli kabab, qubali pulav, combo wrap, and chicken dumplings, and each dish was an absolute delight. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the chapli kabab was so incredible, we couldn’t resist ordering another one to take home!

But what truly made this place stand out was the hospitality. The owner was beyond gracious, treating us with such warmth and care that it felt like we were being welcomed into a home, not just a restaurant. He later came out to personally greet us, sharing that “Mealma” means “guest.” And that’s exactly how we felt – not like customers, but like honored guests. It was a refreshing and rare experience that left a lasting impression on us. We’ll definitely be returning soon, not just for the delicious food, but for the heartfelt hospitality that made the evening unforgettable.

Great afghani food. Staff is very nice to talk to. Food quality and quantity is good and priced well. Right off the road next to a gas station. They now have seating for 12 people next to truck and 10 of these seats are under cover .

It was simply outstanding! The owner was very generous to give me free qabuli pulav as a side! I ordered a chicken Chapli wrap and it was too good. Perfect foodtruck for people looking for something new in the Pflugerville area
